I'm glad the A.I is getting new conversations.Far too many use the same "glad to see you walking upright" joke.
Nothing about ideology points not being deducted?
Or barren planets/ adaptable , the dense racial ability?
We have a fix for the Barren planets/adaptable issue, but it didn't make it in time for this patch. It will be in the next patch.
I don't have any examples of Ideology points not being deducted. If you could get me some reproducible steps or a save game with the issue I would love to check it out.
Fixed a crash when accepting a trade proposal
Fixed an infinite loop when a constructor has no destination (seen as you hitting end turn and the game never coming back)
These are the ones I encounter the most, though the last one just occurred for the first time for me. Looking forward to it!
Please optimizing better game! My CPU is very Hot :/ i7 3630Q
I opened a ticket on this last night and supplied a saved game with instructions on how to observed the problem when colonizing two worlds in succession.
Thanks Publius, im heading up to support now to see if i can grab it. Thanks!
I got your case, thanks for that and I see exactly whats going on. You are 100% right that its simply not spending the points, we will have it fixed in the next patch.
I have an i7-3630 QM processor and it runs fine, no extra heat. Even when playing galaxy size 'insane'. I also have 8GB of RAM, though.
How many have temperatures your CPU in the game? My CPU have 80-91 (mostly 90 degrees celsius).
As you were told in your other thread, you need to do maintenance on your computer. Overheating is not the games fault.
I opted in for this update hoping it would resolve all the crashes im getting, but now it seems worse. I cant even play my saved game. every time right after an enemey planet gets anexed and i click OK, it crashes. other times it would just crash randomly.
I have a i7 3930 and 32GB RAM. the only thing I notice that is converning is the ammount of RAM and SWAP usage being used.
Please send in your crash and save game. You can PM them to me directly as well and I will get developers looking at it right away. We have lots of ixes coming in next weeks patch 2, and I'd like to make your crash is already addressed, or if not get a fix in for it.
OK, was running much better until my freighter that came from the Pragmatic Idealogy 'Trader' arrived at a minor race planet and I found that it did not actually have a trading license, rather the game crashed!
FYI even with this opt-in patch, multi-player commonly crashes in 1-4 turns from starting a game.
Multiplayer stability is the focus for patch 2 (https://forums.galciv3.com/463043)
You need to fix your cooling even if the game is heavily using the CPU if your cooling system can't cope you have a cooling issue and as has been pointed out this game makes heavy use of your CPU and optimization is not going to help much other than to make sure the heavy use it's making is more productive.
Read the other thread one of the developers gave a long explanation of why this game is likely to be more CPU intensive than many other games.
For the Benevolent > Outreach > Outreach III (Prolific)
I have this item picked but any new colonies I found do not include the 5 bonus population.
stupid question of noob; just downloaded beta civ3; cannot access patch for game as i have no key via steam...
and, there is no ship designer? how the heck do i even proceed with this. its like i got the alpha from a year ago
Where did you download it from if not through steam?
The ship designer has been in since Alpha 2. Maybe you are looking for it on the main menu (it's in game).
