When starting any level of multiplayer the game is crashing after loading custom ships, even though its a fresh install after deleting anything remotely related to Stardock or galciv3.
We have tried a lot of different combinations, including the lowest possible size with no AIis anyone else able to start up a multiplayer right now?
Last night my friend and I played for about an hour and it was fine, more stable than ever.
tonight just crash after crash...
SP is fine though.
There are a number of reports of multiplayer crashes in the Support forum, although I've seen some people say that they can start up the game and play for a while.
I have the same problems, me and my friend have the crashes after playing 6 rounds.
yeah we cant even get one to start now.
Although after dreaming about it, the only constant in all our tests was the Terrans (I think) and our resolution
Same here, (MULTIPLAYER mode) The game crashes sometimes at initial startup, but one time we played 15-20 minutes before the game crashed. probably 8-12 moves each.
The game crashes when offered a trade by the AI in single player or Multiplayer mode.
It seems that this process fixes the MP crash for me, on start up at least
1. Uninstalling the game
2. Deleting the My Documents\My games\GalCiv3 folder
3. Deleting the programdata\stardock folder (hidden folder - this will delete any dump files from previous crashes, make a copy and put it somewhere else.)
4. Turn off steam cloud Sync for GalCiv3 (in steam - GC3 properties - Updates)
5. Reinstalling the game.
I think trying to load old save data from custom ships crashes it.
Yeah, everytime when i try to modify my custom ships in the multiyplayer the games crashes.
