Work wonderfull With win 10 tp 9879. danks for best tool.
Have you tried with all AV/Malware apps disabled?
See below.
or in other words, the things that have been broken, and have been furter broken by Windows Ten cannot or will not be fixed. I blame Microsoft.
soo.... MS should make their latest platform compatible with every application out there? That's a bit unreasonable... Chrome was not working with Windows 10 for the longest time... but the developers fixed the compatibility issues. If app developers want their apps to function on the latest OSs, then it it their responsibility to ensure compatibility. It is the developer's CHOICE to keep up with the latest OS platforms. Stardock CHOSE to discontinue support for Windows 10, and clearly has no intent to carry support for OD into the future. MS is most definitely NOT to blame in this case. I now use Winstep Nexus Ultimate -- still supported and it is outstanding on Windows 10 x64. Performance is even better than OD on Win7. I still use Objectdock Plus on Win7 x64.
Objectdock has obviously been given up on (last update was... when?). I doubt you will see another update. MS is not a scapegoat here.
I blame Microsoft.
i blame lead developer working for Flickr.
if you look at his cv he seems to be way too talented to be still working on a twelve year old app.

the quoting is weird.
Ah, that''s interesting. he left Stardock in 2010 and seems they outsourced development to him afterwards until 2012. Does seem around the last time Object Dock was updated
Apps are run a little different in Win10 and OD doesn't display the icon for them appropriately. There is also the case of an invisible icon on the dock with misc apps being run in the background if you click on it, it cycles them. Other than this, the app appears to work.
ObjectDock was updated after 2012.
objectdock sometimes freezesWindows 10, 4bit
Exactly. And when will this be fixed??
Win 10 is over a year old. It's not as if they haven't had time....
Disappointed.
Geoff
Currently, Windows 10 is lucky to be days old, if that.
The "Anniversary Update" was probably more significant of an update to 10 than Win 8.1 was for Win 8.
The [current] joys of running a Beta OS, thanks, Microsoft....
Tell me about it! lol
When I try to install it on windows 10 version 1511, even when I run as administrator, I get a message that says: This app has been blocked for your protection. An administrator has blocked you from running this app. For more information, contact the administrator. It also says Publisher Not trusted. Does anybody know a way around that?
Did you run the installer with Administrator privileges? If you installed it from a separate login, did you install it for All Users?
What version of ObjectDock are you installing?
If you have Windows 10 Enterprise, call your network administrator.Did you run the installer with Administrator privileges? If you installed it from a separate login, did you install it for All Users?
Wow that almost sounds as dismissive as a Microsoft Tech.
What he is talking about is the software security certificate is invalid, which is why the installation is blocked... Sheez...
It seems to run fine for me since day one of installing windows 10, then on 1511 fine and now anniversary update just fine
If you've been testing under Windows 10 and state it's compatible you'd better take a look at your compatibility list and talk to your tech. support because it isn't. I guess someone would expect it to be since Windows 10 was released almost 2 years ago but it isn't and I'll be right to the point. I've been using Stardock products since OS2 Warp's release over 21 years ago. No more. The support sucks, the products suck from an operability standpoint. If you can't get a piece of software updated to work with the operating system that runs almost 91% of all computers, you should really look into another profession.
So,do you think your comments will make anything different ??
Windows 8/7/Vista
If you are referring to Windows 10,
You need to get your facts straight before just spouting erroneous data. 25.1% is far from "91%". In fact, Windows 7 has over twice as many users.
No such claim is made.
Incorrect.
Stardock sent an e-mail claiming Win10 compatibility in a newly released version, that I purchased, which is how I discovered that it is not compatible.
You can also go back to post #8 in this thread where the same thing is claimed again.

What email did you get where this is mentioned?
That post you are referencing is from 2015. We changed ObjectDock compatibility due to some issues.

The e-mail I received the day or two before I purchased it.
It was due to that mass mailing that I purchased Object Dock as it claimed Windows 10 compatibility.
After I was unable to use it in Win10 X64 I posted my original message, to which the responses were posted also claiming compatibility and finally resulting in a claim that it was not compatible...
