At some point, we would like to do one final mini expansion for the Fallen Enchantress series that includes everything in FE:LH and then some.
A few questions for you guys:
What would you imagine it being called?
Right now, given our traditional naming convention, we'd call it Fallen Enchantress: Ultimate Edition
It would be $19.99 for users who have FE:LH, $39.99 new. Would come out after LH 2.0 so that 2.0's stuff can be part of it.
Features:
Release date would be AFTER Sorcerer King and GalCiv III.

Lots of good ideas. Something asked for awhile back is a change to the UI for heroes selecting Paths. I think there is interest from modders doing custom Paths, but the UI for path selection is wonky. And yes, I know the work arounds, but it needs to be KISS for the less gifted among us.
Interesting. Wouldn't the approval process be a formality for the owner of the company?
In any case I would definitely be interested in this. The dynasties and diplomacy tweaks would be enough to secure a purchase from me.You should call it Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes: Legendary Edition. You can never have too many redundant colons, er, adjectives.
Would it be possible for the game to move to x64 or would that be too much?
x64 would probably cost over half what a new game would cost.
If the budget is limited, a final expansion would be ok, but I really want a full-budgeted sequel instead, even if I have to wait a few years for it. I just feel LH has some fundamental issues that can't really be patched and would need a sequel to fix.
You act as if the budget is approved by a third party. It's been my experience, that for most small to medium sized companies, the CEO is actively involved in the budget approval process. The CFO may tell you how much is available to spend, but ultimately, it's the CEO who decides which initiatives to spend the available funds on.
Fairly sure the budget approval process is not the point of the thread.
Yea, but it's a point of the thread in as much as the timing of the release is concerned though.
Mostlike the CEO wants to make sure it's financially viable. For that, he would require approval from whatever accountants are making sure that it's going to be a good use of the companies time.
No one begins a project without first making sure he can pay it and have a return.

Well, yea, that's why I mentioned the CFO in my last post. The accountants provide him with the financial data, the marketing people provide the size of the potential market, and the CEO uses this information to make the decision.
Try:
Fallen Enchantress: The Last Dynasty
Fallen Enchantress: Heirs to the Throne
Yes, to all that was mentioned by frogboy.
Why not go with FE: Beyond Legendary Heroes?
Necro'ing a bit of an older thread here, thought I had responded to it way back when, but skimming it quickly, looks like I didn't.
Any chance you could make the dynasties an on/off option in the game setup? Love the rest of the stuff included here.
Please add a Hall of Fame. It's the great missing feature from Legendary Heroes, hurting its replayability. Honestly I'd easily pay the $19.99 just for that (although I guess others will want more )
Maybe I am in minory regarding this, but I am not so sure that different tech trees is such a great feature.Instead of that, it would be better to have tech trees that CAN get different but not that are different from the begining. Let me try to explain:
When you create factions with different tech trees, you are making factions different from each other, but you are also limiting them as they have less options. Many differences don´t come from the begining, but from choices taken over the time, so each "different tech tree" should in reality be a choice in the tech tree. Some branches would be incompatible between them, but some other branches could be compatible, so you could still have a "Jack of all trades" that knew a bit of everything but was a master of nothing.
actually i agree with you Oliver. imo different factions should just start with different techs already researched; and perhaps acquire unique benefits from techs.
I like your approach. That´s a great way of achieving the "different factions" objective while keeping the tech tree consistent. As an example researching the Necromancy branch would disable the Light branch.
