Can we get queuing for research???
For me it allows the development of a long range 'strategic' plan independent of immediate tactical needs...
Also, since the research technologies are effectively on 'tracks' - for example:
diplomacy is on track D,
xeno industrialization & industrial specialization are on track C.XI
agricultural adaptation & agricultural optimization are on track C.PI.AA
beam weapons & beam weapon optimization are on track W.WS.BW
harpoons .. nightmare torpedoes are on track W.WS.MW.H
targeting assist .. cloaking systems are on track E.IT.IS.SO.TA
precursor understanding is on track E.IT.IS.XA!
(please note I have an indicator to show that this track leads to an 'outlier' technology)
etc...
can we get track identification in the technology details view
can the colorization of the tracks, in the various views, be more coherent and consistent
perhaps, instead of reusing the limited color palette for solid outlining and fills...
use it in 'banding' or 'hashing'; with green, orange, red and blue reserved for the root echelon and amber, yellow and purple for the sub-echelons (see above)
finally, can the tech icons be unique to the track
currently planetary specialization, agricultural optimization, support field generation and support field mastery all use the same icon
(none of the above four technologies are in the same track - in fact the two pairs are in different technology 'hives')
the use of a rationalized color scheme (as requested above) plus the inclusion of 'heraldic devices' in the formation of the new icons will allow the efficient reuse of the current icon set.
The adoption of my suggestions will vastly improve the process of information acquisition/recognition while in the research screens.

I second this motion.
Anything that matches or exceeds the system used by Civ5 would be greatly appreciated. I hope the Devs are willing to give us some hint on what it is going to look like when the game is done.
Research queuing would be a greatly appreciated feature. Once you get your research ability up and you're completing research projects every few rounds, it gets tedious to have to keep picking a new one every few rounds. I definitely agree that being able to queue a few up and then just get a notification when they are completed would be a welcome addition.
I also support this suggestion. But guess it will probably arrive about Beta3 ?
I asked the question during the dev stream but they didn't answer it
How that is usually done is to require a confirmation to proceed with the next item in the queue...
Better than that I think is interruption with no loss of credit - you can interrupt at anytime, change what you are researching, finish that, then go back to the partially researched tech and pick up where you left off (civ v currently supports this feature).
As for the other queues, what you are asking for is queue automation... I don't particularly like that, the AI never really gets what I want to do and I usually don't like/take the defaults (especially in the end game)... (the civ series has had production/unit queue automation since civ iii, they even had a mimic the master queue functionality) currently I don't know of any game that has an AI that does adaptable production queue automation (based on the game's current state).
