A nice space sim with RPG elements, upgrading your abilities, your ship/s (there is like 70 of them u can get) from gunners to big carrier class. A lot of stuff to do in a realy big universe that has no loading between sectors. That's a game I should look back into one of these days soon and see how it's progressed. Been a few months since the last time I logged into it, but everything was turning out great so far, IMO. Even has the 3D element to it. What was great, too, was the devs were even listening to their community and implementing changes that were being suggested.

It's a really good game, but I just can't get to grips with the controls. It's like trying to control a ice-cube with a stick.

To be fair his first comment was actually about something else on the forum. So my comment above was wrong.
It should be noted that devs from other publishers are actually welcome to talk about their games here, as far as I know. As long as they don't just talk about their own game and let the discussion lead its natural life.

Take a look at the new big update, its now v0.8... close to launch day
I see nice stuff added with different nebulas, with lightning effects. Must say love the new system thats about gathering blueprints to get superior weapons and to get special ships.

Seriously, I wasn't expecting much, but this game is FANTASTIC.

I watched the video and it looked a bit grindy to me. What do you think?
Also, what's the largest ship you can pilot? They look to be more or less the same, but are there capital ships and such?
It does not feel grindy whatsoever. I don't know how big the ships get. However, I'm having way more fun than I expected.
The ships are of different sizes, although admittedly, not by as much as what they probably should be. It was put forward to the devs at one point to increase the scaling. Although I think part of what contributes to the "same size" feel is that they all have the same rate of maneuverability (as of when I last played... they will eventually get their own rates).
The largest are the carriers/dreadnoughts, in terms of what you can pilot. There are supposed to be larger, though....

The thing with the ships is that they are scaled really diverse form small gunners to big carriers.
U think they are the same cose the view is 3rd person, but when u put your carrier next to a gunner or a corvet, ur like WoooW
