Yes - you are now a thresh main,  I'm a mid cass main.  That whole I saw it LCS effect is pretty strong.  I also always bump into those folks trying crap out and doing oh so well...

You should really key in and listen to Boaz sometime when he talks about his adc experiences.  it's quite interesting.  So, he says he's on his alt account that's level 25, but he's up against diamond players regularly (sounds off).  He says his best adc is teemo.  He says he's had a support example 1 time on a level 25 account where he's always against those diamonds.  Tis all very strange.

Anyway, he's working on his vayne and I played support for him 1 game.   I think I convinced him to work on easier adcs while he's learning the role and getting better at it.  Vayne's kind of an adc I put at requiring a high skill cap to do well with.  Mastering her ult, learning how to work in team fights - its just a lot more difficult w/ her than, say, a graves, etc.  Anyway, hopefully that helped a bit.  I really do like boaz though - super nice guy. 

Anyone else have some ranked placement series stories?  So far we've heard the saga of cow and pacov's 1 awful game.

So - hunnybadger went 7/3 in his placements. Before reset, he was plat V.  Now he is plat IV

I'm 4/4 in placements now.  Prob get the last couple games in tonight. 

So far I'm doing the best when I get to top lane 3/1 with liss.

6/4 - placed into plat 5 - I'm actually fairly please with the outcome.  Was plat V.  Won more games than I lost.  Fing annoying if I ended up in gold as a result. 

Last couple of games I didn't do anything all that special, though.  Kind of weak in laning phase.  Game 9 - 2/1/5 graves (7.0kda)- team carries HARD.  My vi jungle was a beast and won us the lane.  Game 10 - Still felt like i played the game wrong - 6/3/14 - made good decisions in team fights  6.67kda or w/e that means.

Weak showing from me... was going to play liss in game 9, but had 2 supports and someone thankfully dodged... annoying when you get 1st pick and get boned by TWO PEOPLE GOING SUPPORT.  Anyway, hugs and kisses - ranked anxiety murdered - back to ranked.

i dunno. i mean usually there is a few assassins that are good every patch. But that's also true for like mages.

Syndra was extremely strong for a long time. Ziggs was one of the top win rate champions for about 6 months last year. Orianna is always a consistent pick. Azir is extremely powerful at the moment.

That said, pure farm mages such as Karthus, Malz, Anivia, Brand, Veigar... sure they aren't super strong right now. But even though they aren't "super strong" they are putting up acceptable win rates in soloQ. But the recent yellow trinket upgrade helps since you can ward the river a lot more as a farm mage, preventing roams.

Both Ahri and Fizz are going to be reworked to be more DPS/kiting than raw burst, and i expect they will both be building tankier (Ahri might go back to ye old Rylais + Liandries build back when her W was mega-OP. Fizz might start going Trinity Force + Nashors). Removal of DFG might keep Leblanc under control in competitive play, but she's never had absurd win rates in soloQ.

Thunder will probably finish his placement series tonight.  I think he's in game 10 now... he's 4/5.  Hedgie I think is on game 3 now.  Gl fellas!

Had a last pick Vi who told us she was "taking a piss" during the entire champ select phase but didn't let that stopping from complaining and insulting us the whole game about forcing her into a role that she couldn't carry from.  I won't quote her cause some of the things she said probably violate Stardock's rules involving hate speech and such.

Had a player who offered to fill in and somehow ended up mid lane as Fizz.  I was bummed cause fill players tend to make better supports than playing high skill cap assassins.  Well, I was bummed till he went 20/3.

Rest of the team: "Thank you for carrying us!"

Fizz: "No.  Thank yourselves for following up on my roaming and initiating good team fights for me."

Had everything else in between.  Kinda bummed cause I can't say for sure any games I 'won' for my team but I can think of one I lost.  There were some I didn't play well and some I played great, but felt like the only one where that mattered was my Jinx game.  My Thresh was a beast and kept landing these hooks where I came soooo close to killing him.  We were winning our lane completely but I went ham because I felt like I was missing kills earlier and gave Ez a double.  He ended up carrying that game so it was pretty much on me.

I like the new system.  Kinda felt before that people should have to earn their way back to where they belong every season but now that I find I don't have to go through Gold promos again.... yeah screw the old system, I'm all for this.

They are pushing it already?

If the jungle item change goes through a lot of junglers simple aren't solo queue viable any more.  This includes Hecarim.  I think that you simply can't play him in jungle any more if you want to win but can't count on a big leash.

I had assumed that they would revert the change on PBE early this week since it was completely insane, especially given Riot's reasoning.  If it goes through, the jungle pool probably gets cut in half for solo queue (competitive not as big a deal because you can count on a leash).
