Before I tell them to set this up I wanted to make a post and gauge interest in this:
There's going to be a new fantasy strategy game from Stardock in the Elemental universe. It's NOT a sequel to Fallen Enchantress.
I'm looking to ask the team to set up a founder's program for people who are interested in getting a sneak peak at what we're doing and getting early access to it this Fall. The founder's edition would be $20.
Here is, broadly, what the game is like:
Now, as you can see, because it's so different we're updating, enhancing LH on its own dev path with its own meaningful updates.
Anyway, who would be interested in joining a Founder's Program if we put it up in June?
UPDATE: The URL for the $20 early Founder's edition is live: https://www.stardock.com/buy?s=ESD-SDE-W062
UPDATE 2: The E2015 Founder's Vault is live: http://e2015.stardock.com/
I just signed up too. I am really looking forward to this getting started.
Link worked great! I am in, can't wait!
Done and done. Can't wait.
Just saw and bought.
/purchased.
How far out are we from this, roughly? September? August?
Also, I got the impression that we were going to get access really soon in a few of your posts. Has that now changed?
I'm in as well.
Waits patiently for Founders Badge. I mean, why should the GC3 founders have all the glory?...
I'm completely confident that E2015 will be great, but I want to bring up potential issues with Founders programs and early access.
The main reason I didn't participate in the GC3 program was because I was concerned that my 3 year old computer might not meet the system requirements.
I guess I should have considered that regarding E2015 as well. But this is the primary issue I have with sight-unseen games.
Re. the founders badge,
in the near future some posters (such as myself) could find themselves decked with 3 badges (GC3 + OWT + E15) - perhaps you should allow some toggles (e.g smaller badges, combo badges, etc.) so it doesn't look ridiculous.
$20 - sold.
How will the units distinguish themselves with no unit design?
i look forward to going into detail shortly in the founder's vault.
I'm looking forward to that like a little child on christmas eve.
Um, you forgot the hyperlink under "founder's vault." j/k
Finish up 1.7 first, no rush.
How and when will we be able to access the Founder's vault?
There will be a Founders vault site where users who purchased can access all the stuff, pretty much like the GCIII vault.
OK, sounds good. Any ETA on when the Founder's vault will be launched?

Awesome! Will read up (and listen to) this stuff later when I have a moment. Thanks, Brad.
New comer to the Elemental party here. As I've been reading on the GalCiv3 forum for the past few weeks I've noticed posts about Elemental. Started reading them and then got an email about Stardock's sale so I bought FE:LH. I then bought all the DLC and then saw this and bought into this. I'm ready, bring it on!
Awesome music! Loved the Magesta theme sooooooo much! Wonder who the composer is. My compliments.
NB! Listened to the rest as well. This sounds so good. Reminds me about the good old feel of the Music from the Heroes 3 and 4 games. Those games had legendary music.
Now to the game info file, a glass of wine and a cigarette.
Same composer as WOM/LH/GalCiv II/III actually. He's great!
There's been a long of changes with E2015 though in terms of staffing. A lot of the visuals were made by people who had worked on Civilization V (they joined us this past year) and sound and some of the music direction is coming from the Civ V/XCOM sound engineering team (they joined us this past year as well).
It's not using Nitrous (as someone asked). It's using a heavily modified version of Kumquat.
Yay! More stuff added since this afternoon gents. Pics of units. Looking good. Can't wait.
Gotta admit, although the strategic map tracks in FE/LH are getting a bit old after 1k+ hours, the menu music and battle theme are still amazing. Please pass on some kudos.
Thanks for that, I wouldn't have thought to check again this soon!
I am in.
WHy aren't the things in the Founders Vault viewable online? Especially the images... If I click on one of them, I don;t want to have to download it to my local PC just to view it. Especially images... WTH...
