Elite Founders can submit their star names – and their names to be included in the special thanks credit – for Galactic Civilizations III today. Simply head to https://www.galciv3.com/nameastar and login with your Stardock account (that you purchased the Elite Founders edition with) to submit your names.
Please note that any content Stardock deems inappropriate will invalidate your entire submission. We keep open minds and Galactic Civilizations III is certainly not a series that takes itself so seriously that we have to outlaw anything funny or off-beat, but profanity, trademark- or copyright-infringing content, or any kind of slurs or hate speech will not be accepted.
Star naming and special-thanks credits submissions will remain open until the alpha ends and beta begins, which will likely be toward the end of May. Please remember that any plan can be derailed in the face of the realities of game development, but that’s the timeframe we’re aiming for.
Many thanks to all of our Founders for their support. Your feedback, both on the official forums or via the Galactic Civilizations III Steam forums, has already been extremely helpful in making this the best game it can possibly be.

We're going to be updating the system to allow space/numbers, and allowing people to submit an edit to their name. It probably won't be until next week as we have to get the system in place.

So I bought the Founder's Elite Edition from Steam and logged in to my Stardock account on first startup but the Name a Star website keeps saying "We couldn't find a registration for Galactic Civilizations III Elite Edition on your account". It's been couple of weeks already so I think database etc. related delays are ruled out at this point. On the other hand I can access the Founder's Vault just fine.
For extra detail I had the non-Elite version previously but I cancelled that pre-purchase and bought the Elite Edition straight from Steam. Did this mess something up with my Stardock account?
I don't see GCIII on your account. I'd suspect you might have used an alternate account/e-mail, in which case you can merge them here

I guess I'll contact the support because I have used only one e-mail address so there's no e-mail address I could use as a source account. In the past I did have multiple account names associated with this e-mail address (I don't remember the details as to how that happened) and I don't know if account names are even usable as your login info on Stardock sites these days. I know I used this e-mail address when I booted up GalCiv3 the first time. So I'll try the support.
Yes, please contact support as we can't go into much on forums with account details. They will be able to get your sorted.
I've just submitted mine! Can't wait to see it up on the list. I've used my real surname, it's reasonably unique so...can we tell people the name we chose on this forum or is it a big, bad secret?
EDIT: I'm amazed how many names there are. Certainly there are more people under Elite status than post on these forums.
