Hi,
as a long time customer and subscriber I PLEASE want an honest answer if ObjectDock is still in development or not and if it EVER will work right on 64-bit systems (shortcuts always pointing to c:\program files (x86)) problem. I am really sadly tired of the update politics and public relations on this matter at Stardock at the moment (again). Seen too many good SD-programs going down the drain I relied on (aka DesktopX / RightClick...).
A general update-plan would be great and also a new list of dicontinued apps. Please. CursorFX (Multiplicity incompatibilities) and IconPackagers continued bugs (aka the nightmare creating and always losing changes on packages) would be also interesting. Please, no "But it works for me !" posts here, we ALL know, there are long time reported bugs that where never fixed.
Hey Joe [think there's a song in there somewhere] we gotta stop meeting like this. You've been back such a short while and this is the 2nd thread we've appeared in together and I don't want people gossipping about what they think we're up to.... we're not the only conspiracy theorists here, you know.
I can assure You I know 100 % what is going on on my rig as I am certainly no newbee when it comes to computers and using windows.
No 3rd party software or malware to blame here.
Same here! There's no crap on my rig, either... gets scanned every day for nasties and spyware, etc.
However, prevention is the best cure.
23 years of IT employment/management should have gotten me there.
Almost 10 years of being here should have gotten me there, too, given how many people wiser than myself frequent the place and offer great advice on PC management/protection. However, it pays to remain always vigilant against the various threats that keep popping up - like this latest IE vulnerability - and taking precautions to protect one's self and wisely using the internet, etc.
(I have moved my personal bug listing to a separate thread (https://forums.stardock.com/454035/page/1) to start a collection of them together and to respect c242's original concern/request with this thread of his.)
There is a new beta update out ...
That is correct, the 2.20 beta was made available this week to current customers.
Update includes:
The beta can be downloaded from your Stardock account at http://download.stardock.com.
Sorry, that is a joke (and we will both know that). The update does NOTHING to any major bugs or concerns reported since years.
