First off, for those of you not familiar with our forum structure, I go by 2 handles: Draginol and Frogboy. Draginol came from the old idea that when I posted from home, I’d use a different handle. Bah. Now I never get them straight.
Anyway, I need your help.
As concisely as possible, can you list the things in Legendary Heroes that you find the most FUN. Not unique. Not stand-out. But FUN. Can be something that you love in many games.
After a few posts, I’ll list my own favorites but I really want to hear your thoughts on this.
Thanks!
Building unique units, I just wish there where more options I always design my own units every game.
Getting a patch which fixes the bugs that have prevented you from playing the last few months.
If I had to pick one thing I would say it is designing my own units.
Also leveling my monarch and heros I love choosing skills and the initial choosing their path.
Questing and custom units/factions/sovereigns!

RPG aspects
Playing another twinked game - Started off with a moderately twinked Sov (all other Sov's as well) and haven't had to build a unit other than road builders and pioneers yet. I had binding (kingdom version), and between Sov power, found units, binding elementals and other champions I've kept pace in power to prevent the AI from dog piling. Haven't had a war yet.
At this point I have multiple partial doom stacks of pure champions in the 8-12 level range and a sov at lvl 19.
AI has been mostly disappointing - most have 2 cities, a few have 3-5. I only have 6 or 7 since something I have going on has a 5% per city unrest penalty (not sure which mod, usually I keep it down to 2-3%). Will be playing insane/insane next time - currently on challenging I think. Need to get either Primal's, patchwork's or DS's mod to up difficulty.
Anyway, beyond all that its been great fun running around the countryside and doing quests, accumulating loot and dealing with issues. Going from on foot to mounted across the board was a big step, getting to the middling levels so some of the better equipment could be used was another.
The tactical combat and the rpg aspects.
I enjoy where the aesthetics of the game meet the game mechanics regarding the world itself. The feeling of wildness captured within the artwork and the danger presented by actually travelling through those areas. I would say more landscapes to experience, different dangers(not just monsters), and better use of mountain ranges. Mountains are the guardians of the wilderness, their lack of implementation into the game mechanics is sorely noticed (aside from being a "do not pass" area). I focus more on improvements because I believe that is what the OP is really looking for.
I confess I've been playing a lot of AOW3, so I apologize if anything here is out of date, but here's what I like about LH:Customizing units (both equip/skills and colors/appearance)Upgrading existing unitsCreating Sovereigns Creating FactionsPlaying a game and running into Sovereigns and Factions I created.WildlandsThe architecture to add so much more basic content (weapon types, research, etc)Random mapsThe tactical combat--I realized playing AOW3 how much I like the loss of models impacting how much damage a unit can do.The diversity of resources (iron, horses, gold, etc.), though I wouldn't mind rare ones like mithril and adamantium (like MoM) that enhanced weapons. Here's what I don't like:It takes forever to get ranged units--and even longer to get ranged magic units. I know it could be a mod, but I'd like to see more progression in both magic/non-magic ranged units. Slings, short bows, compound bows, long bows, light and heavy crossbows, barbed arrows, poison arrows, etc. Or fire (or whatever) spark, bolt, beam, ball, blast, shower, etc.The game is called Legendary Heroes, yet the emphasis seems to be on building huge armies and taking a single hero along. There's nothing legendary about that. I would have preferred a game where stacks are more likely to be groups of heroes/henchmen and maybe the occasional army unit thrown in until I can recruit another hero. This game actually penalizes you for having two heroes in the same battle....No itemmake a la MoM. I would love to be able to quickly and easily redesign the "loot" found in the game. So much of it is oh-god-so-un-legendary. Rusty pants? Really? 4 of them in one game?No Steam workshop support. This makes running my Torchlight mods incredibly easy. They update themselves. There are too many brilliant mods (kudos to you authors out there) that the game should be played with--henchwomen, swamp tile bonuses, bridges, summoners, etc.The Governor path. Great idea, but having to stay outside of the city to get XP is a pain (and counterintuitive). Not being able to blow mana on creating items for my heroes. Not enough random events, even with the option turned all the way up. (Though most of the ones we have are fun.)After playing AOW3, I wish there were more unique skills for units/races. In AOW3 each race's priest has a range attack of a different type (poison, fire, spirit, etc), for example. No research or quest achievements to make things cheaper in the ol' hero store. (I have 3000 metal and make armies with enchanted weapons, and you can't give me a discount on some chain mail? Really?)DLCI would happily fork over $$ for the following DLC:A GUI to select an in-game model and create a loot item out of it, and modify existing loot items.A GUI to modify the research tree (for a single faction or faction-wide).
Off the cuff, my $.02

Taming beast and different creatures is my favorite part of the game, but getting perks and level up's is kinda hard.
Next best thing is quests, i need more of them. I kinda wish every faction could get more quests.
Custom city building.
