Wither spell probably doesn't crash your game. Something else would be the cause. If the crash is reproducible (which seems to be the case given you've had this more than once at the same exact moment), then please upload your Saved Game to Dropbox (or similar) so I can have a look. Not sure I will find anything, crashes are endemic in this game, but if it's XML/Mod-related then I may find the reason why it's happening.
As BlackSmokeDMax said, removing mods once a game is started wouldn't work. You would need to restart FELH and start a New Game for any mod changes to be applied.
Beyond that, I generally prevent incompatible mods from interfering w/ XtraDeconstruct so they're unlikely to be the cause of crashes. You would have to go out of your way to have these mods disrupt the good functioning of XtraDeconstruct.
Unfortunately there isn't a section about this in A_UserGuide file since UI Scale is a new feature added in the latest FELH update. In the Main Menu, go to Options, find UI Scale, then select Small.
If your question is more about which DXPACK files you can use along w/ your resolution, you would have to look at sections H2 to H10 and select the screens that would fit 1600x900. I actually went through them and packaged them in a 7Z file for you. All you need to do at this point is download one of the two 7Z file and unpack it in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FE Legendary Heroes\screens\

The 1600x900_Safe will work 100% sure.
The 1600x900_Test contains one screen that is actually 1380x1020. It MIGHT still fit. If it doesn't, then just use the 1600x900_Safe version, it will overwrite it w/ a screen that works. Regrettably, that screen is a fairly important screen (Unit Details Window). See H10 in a User Guide for more details about that specific screen and workarounds in case you can't use the 1380x1020 version.
EDIT: Actually, if the 1380x1020 works for you, you could probably use the 1550x1020 instead, it would be even better.
I've updated the OP w/ additional information. I will probably stop reposting the OP every time we get to a new page as it's an annoying chore. I understand Stardock is moving their Web design to accommodate the mobile accesses, but having a non persistent OP is bad, mkay? I guess what I'm saying is sooner than later, you guys will have to check the first page to see the OP.

- the installation procedure if you want to use BMB, CB, CoS, and XtraDeconstruct together, along w/ all DLC. This is just an old post, lost somewhere on FELH forums that I've updated and put in this thread, see reply #3;
- a number of FAQ pertaining, mostly, to the installation, see reply #5.
The first Xtra file was made available over 4 years ago and XtraDeconstruct, on NexusMods, will be 4 years old somewhere at the beginning of February. I probably won't be around forever, but if at some point someone wants to help users, these three replies should help w/ the most common problems (1. User didn't read installation procedure, 2. User downloaded a file including compatibility files for BMB/CB/CoS but didn't install the original BMB/CB/CoS mods, 3. Other common issues as explained in FAQ reply #5).
Finally, NexusMods is also in the midst of a design switch (Because I heard Websites die when they don't update and also because mobile users are rapidly increasing). Some of the links I used over there (and here) are no longer working correctly. Same for some of the BBCodes. In other words, a number of things will seem broken until they're done w/ the transition. I will only start fixing cosmetic stuff on NexusMods once the transition is over. Expect some hiccups over there.
Thanks 2017Q4, the time of the year where everyone wants to do everything because they didn't do anything all year long.
My god, did not know you were still working on this game. It's been already several years. Too bad the game still goes memory overflow as soon as I try to load a save file when another session is going on (forcing me to completely quit the game then restart). As well as... all the relatively fatal bugs still not fixed at all.
I played the game with your mod, and I really liked it. Finished playthough as army-focused sov (the most safe and the most boring style) and right now playing tame-focused sov (primeval lord + beast tame from Ranger), and while it is far more risky, far more map-dependent but I guess it is ok compared to vanilla. One bug report and one suggestion here.
1) the elemental bond and thrallborn fail to work on that special death demon guarding that wildland city.
(I just realized I did not update the file to version 7, so these may have been fixed.)
And the suggestion is... well, Sandworm, which is about as rare as dragons, is quite weak. The biggest problem is that Sandstorm really does not scale well unless it is used against very weak numerous units, because unlike champions Sandworm gets no bonus damage or anything. It is so easily resisted as well, unlike Dragon breath which is insta-kill for a lot of stuffs that do not have more than 200 hp.
Only advantage is that Sandworm has twice armor the Dragon has.... which is really easily countered by a lot of armor piercing stuffs.
Also the direct attack damage is weaker, due to the way the damage vs. armor calculation is done on this game. Two combined damage value is always going to be weaker than one single damage value.
Here are suggestions:
1) Dragon currently has about 70-ish initiative at level 30. Make Sandworm also have about 60-ish instead of current 45-ish initiative at level 30. So the base initiative value of Sandworm should be 30 instead of current 18.
2) Keep the Sandstorm as it is, it is still good for weeding out inferior units and something different from Dragons or any high difficulty monsters.
3) Increase the basic damage of Sandworm from 20 (earth attack ) + 24 (normal attack) to 30 +30. It is actually still weak compared to Dragon's bite, but then...
4)....add guaranteed Maul. I think it's fair since Dragon has AOE 200+ damage burst. Maybe guaranteed Maul alone would be still weak compared to Dragons. But oh well, this is single player game and the balance always does not have to be perfect!
It is immune to Primeval Bond because of the Adamant trait, but I can't say for sure why I made it immune to enthralment. Outside of Pioneers and Sovereigns, there's only 3 CoS "gods" and this guy that are immune to enthralment. I'd like to think I had a purpose when I did that, but it's possible I just forgot to remove the immunity when I removed it from the Elemental Lords. Otherwise, what I do remember is having had a lot of issues making that demon spawn properly in Deorcnysse. So if there was a reason for his enthralment immunity, it would probably come from some XML workaround I had to use to make him spawn properly. I will remove his immunity when I update the mod for LH 2.2, whenever that happens; can't be worse than dividing by 0...
In XX_TM_Creatures_LH_Elementals.xml , if you remove this line of code (it only appears once), you should be able to use Thralldom on Xazazaza in your next game:
<UnitStat_X_ImmuneToEnthralment>1</UnitStat_X_ImmuneToEnthralment>
I will make Sandworms stronger (Keeping in mind some of your suggestions). I'd like to say in the next version, but I've been "committing" to a lot of balance/fixes recently and quite frankly I'm not sure I will have the time or the resolve to do all of them. But there should be something minimal added to make them stronger, even if it's only a few stats tweaks.

Also, I found another possible bug : It seems Boreal Sword is no longer available for troop design. Other vanilla arcane weapons are all there, but the this one-hand sword seems omitted.
RIght now I am using troop-based sov so I will report if there are any other bugs regarding training troops.

That said, this is a Halfdrake from Children of Storm mod. If you've downloaded XtraDeconstruct plus DLC_MOD Compatibility Files, which seems to be the case, you would need to install a number of additional mods (Black Market Bazaar, Champion Bonanza, and Children of Storm). Given you've already mentioned having installed Black Market Bazaar, I guess you should install the last two as well.

You are right i did not install them because i thought the mod was modular and i didnt need to have them installed too. I will install them asap. I don't think you will need the save game anymore since you found the problem right away. Thanks for your patience.
All good, won't need the saved game if that was the problem! The mod is indeed modular, but that specific main file came w/ all compatibility files already installed.
If you don't want to play w/ Champion Bonanza, remove:

If you don't want to play w/ Children of Storm, remove:

Just a reminder, if some are on the official FELH 2.2 beta branch, two files will be updated and this will mess the mod installation.
Redo Step #2 of the installation (See A_UserGuide.txt); after having done it, you'll need to restart LH and start a New Game.
Current saved games are unaffected either way.
How can I train troops as battalion, or anything more than 6 units? I don't see the button or choice for battalion after the research is completed.

You need to use the upgrade feature. See FAQ #30 for a more detailed explanation:
30. I researched Battalion, Brigade, and Division, but I can't find how to train units using these Grouping Types.
It appears FELH 2.2 has been released (4 December 2017). You should do step #2 before launching the game and that will fix issues that otherwise might happen.

So ive decided to get back into this and updated the game with the mod. Had it all running fine before but ive upgraded the computer and had to reinstall. Issue I am having is after doing the 1920x1080 add on when I hit new game to select a ruler I get a blank screen. game is running and music is playing but I cannot see or select anything. Suggestions?
I even went back and reinstalled the cores with the same results.

A question which may or may not be from your mod or I may be missing something, I don't know. When I create my own Kingdom, the research tree (war) does not include any hero technologies, is this normal?
