Patch 2.0p.2 [Info] [Download] (Extract in ...\Documents\My Games\LegendaryHeroes\Mods\ )
I think this is as far as anyone made it - which is not very far - regarding dynasties. Unfortunately, it looks like they simply never hooked up all the necessary material to make it work (and even if they did, would still be missing the dynasty screens somewhere in the UI).
Can we count this as a teaser? I have always wondered what this system in Elemental is. Everybody is talking about how unique/different it was.
I'm afraid not.
Might delve into it more at some point, but right now it's not working properly.
I have had a system crash and had to reinstall the entire game plus mods. I installed the 2.0 LH Ultimate Edition, the Bazaar mod, the Champions mod, the COS mod, the republic mod, the xtra deconstruct version with all the abovementioned mod updates included, and finally the most recent patch listed earlier in this thread. So far, everything seems to be working ok, except I don't see the Republic faction. Is this one you have to create custom, or did I miss something? Thank you, ever so, for your reply, and God bless.
You do not need to install the standalone Republic Government Mod as it's now preloaded w/ XtraDeconstruct. That said and assuming you did install it, it won't create any issues.
Proconsul Eianor leads the Carian Republic. He should be the 19th Sovereign in the list, just after King StormCloud and just before General Carrodus.
If you want to create a sovereign, the faction name is Carian Republic.
If you want to create a faction, the Race is Black Mancer.
The Faction Strength is called Republic.
hmm not just you, the op is gone from the top of the forums for me too.
Guessing they changed it to improve mobile experience, but that's a pretty bad change for mod threads; they need to add a checkbox for this in user profile or something. Anyhow, I've reposted the OP in #1951, but that's hardly a long-term solution...
Ive been lurking here and watching all the updates but the dynasties thing got me way excited. Now I understand its not something you are planning to do anytime soon but are you saying that it is possible to make it work in FELH? Man that would be amazing. As stripped down and unfinished Elemental is I still very much enjoyed playing it. Just seeing the prospect of such a neat feature is exciting.
Just some stuff I was trying for fun (and I know others have tried before). It's supposed to be possible to just turn the feature on, but that's not the case. For example, even if I had children capable of being married, I was not able to do it in the Diplomacy Screen. And as I said, UI is not hooked up either. This is the Dynasty/Govern Screen in EWOM:
And that same screen transposed in FELH which, as seen, is missing the Dynasty subscreen:
Until that kind of stuff can be figured out, this isn't going anywhere I'm afraid.
Man that is a shame. Such a cool feature to scrap.
Things seem to have been squared away somewhat, thanks, ever so. Is there any cheat code or way to force the game to complete a turn when it gets stuck? So far when playing with your mods, I've only been able to complete one game, the other two stop completing turns after turn 300 or so. Putting all that time in and getting stuck is very frustrating.
I'm sure you're aware of that, but as a general statement it can take a considerable amount of time between seasons (minute(s)) as the game reach the late stage where most of the map is settled and hundreds of units are roaming the land. While I've found the latest version of the game+mod allows me to interact with the various in-game menus in-between seasons, I still tend not to, just to avoid "breaking" something.
Otherwise, I would say have a look at the following section (in A_UserGuide.txt): T1. (Others) - Crashes . It contains most of what I know which may (or may not) improve your situation. Particularly:
Let me know how it goes. If you still can't get past the point where you are stuck, upload your saved game and I will have a look.
this kinda seems like an oversight but gallowmans mana making ability has no cool down or cost so is spamable. you have been pretty good about rooting most of those kinda things out and fixing up the talent trees you have incorporated as well.
Yeah, Consume Spirit has always been a bit overpowered. Also, you can Steal Spirit Gallowman and give the ability to your sovereign, which probably makes it even more powerful. A 5 Cooldown seems warranted...
Hi
I just finished my gameplay with your mod and some others from here which was said to be compatible.
No spells in spellbook of enchanting item, alchemy etc. appeared in my gameplay. I had heroes with those abilities (forging, enchanting), i had consumed numerous arcanum gems/dust, I had researched technology for creating arcanum (although all arcanum dust/gem I consumed where those I looted during game, nevertheless there was many of them like 4 yellow etc.). I could even transform two arcanum gems to one other.
No forge category in spellbook, not even one spell from this category. If you want any additonal info (from my game, save, screen, folders) i will try to help, tell me where to find this info you want for making this easier. Game is great and mods like yours are valuable. Thanks
ps - btw maybe of mod question but is it possible to change during game (it is possible on start) option for making enemies more willing to surrender/alliance when my power is much bigger (3x more power rate and good relations with one of two living factions) and i have max infuence from tech. Because sometimes it is just waste of time to achieve the final screen or steam achievement And is it possible to automate cities?
Hey Alamar,
Might be a SpellBookWnd DxPack issue. The original spellbook screen is too small to fit all the category tabs. If that was the issue, the last spellbook category tab would be Transmute. However, you can still access the Forging spells if you select the All category tab (Mana icon, first tab) and then scroll down until you reach the Forging category which is pretty much at the end.
Enchanting spells won't appear until you've cast a forge spell and used the item you've just forged. Again, if you're using the original spellbook screen, it won't appear as it's the tab after Forging, but you can access said spells scrolling down as described above.
If that turns out to be the problem, see:
...\Documents\My Games\LegendaryHeroes\Mods\XtraDeconstruct\XW_SpellBookWnd\XW_SpellBookWnd.txt
900x800 should solve the issue, but personally I use 900x950.
If that's not it, then I would need your most recent saved game uploaded to Dropbox or some other file sharing site (where I don't have to register) so I can have a look.
Re: postscript, no city automation that I can remember, if by city automation you mean governors. Also, no in-game ways to modify surrender threshold other than to crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.
No, i tryed "all" category and it is not that case.
I installed those mods for sure:
XD_MOD_CoS-1894-2-0n-1
Children of Storm-1850-1-
XtraDeconstruct plus DLC_MOD Compatibility Files-1894-2-0n-1
Demons and Wizards v1_8a-1870-1-8a
Lusher Scenery v1.zip-11-1-0
One of them Demons and Wizards i had to uninstall (manually as was said in readme there), without uninstalling, even in newgame creating character/facton - numerous characters and items were blank. Still after uninstalling in my game few items were blank (without image).
I sent you pm with download link of my save.
@Alamar_
None of your Champions/Sovereign have Forging Power so the forging spells aren't unlocked. Next time one of them levels, select Tinker in the general tab.
+1 Forging Power is given when Crafting for Dummies is consumed.
+1 Forging Power is given when Governor is selected.
+1 Forging Power is given when Path of the Commander is selected.
+1 Forging Power is given when Tinker is selected.
+1 Forging Power is given when you have an Astral Forge (Accessory).
+1 Forging Power is given when a Champion/Sovereign is stationed in a city w/ a Blacksmith.
+1 Forging Power is given when a Champion/Sovereign is stationed in a city w/ the Forge of the Overlord.
Having any (or all) will work.
Also, your trees are a bit weird, might be an issue between Lusher Scenery and CoS/Xtra. Might want to submit your Saved Game to WildBoarPie if you're seeing it too. Otherwise might be on my end.
Ok thanks for your reply and description of how this work, I will check this later.
I know what you mean, there are some square artifact image (like fortress or something ) sometimes onto trees, it is strange because I think there is more of them after save loading. I will submit it to him as you advice, maybe in a new game i will play without this mod Lusher Scenery.
I'm probably going to repackage the mod at some point to include a few fixes that have been discussed in this thread before. Will try to pinpoint the issue then. Could very well be with something I did at some point (or not).
-Keep up the good work Primal. Seems you are the last modder for a great game.
I want to believe there will be a Champion Bonanza 2.0 before May 18 (Thread Lock).
But yeah, I guess I'm certainly one of the last one if not the last one around, although I'm mostly just doing support these days.
However, if I do end up repackaging the mod, I'd like to fix as many issues as possible before doing so, hence all should report issues.
Also, what do you guys think of the new spells?
Hi Primal, thanks for your continued work!
Out of curiosity: would you consider such repackaging to be the finished version, or, well, "just" the final version?
Ah!
2.0.n. was the last decent size update (the "final" version, so to speak). It had 16 new spells - most of which fairly unique and with their own spell particles - distributed between the various spell ranks and the path of the mage. Unfortunately, despite being the third update in three months, it wasn't able to reverse the downward trend in downloads and endorsements.
2.0.p. was solely released because of BMB 2.1, but I took the opportunity to add some content and do a few changes.
In the last three months, I have barely worked on the mod. The repackaging would add no new content, but it's needed at some point because I doubt more than half the users visit this thread. Thus, uploading to NexusMods would be the way to go for a "finished" version.
I've delayed doing it (and probably will delay some more), waiting for Stardock to do a (stealthy?) patch or for some new content to magically appear, but neither will likely happen. That said, as a modder, it feels like a lot of work to package and update everything everywhere when there's so little changing and as a user, I'm not sure I would spend the time downloading and installing it if I was satisfied with the current version.
