Sent you a PM, Primal.
Currently playing on a Small Pangaea map with the Tilemod (from post #1822) and the MonumentXP mods. Both would make fine additions to any future XtraDeconstruct releases, IMO.
Heh, here are some funny lines from one of my debug.err, looks like Verga was trying to cheat there...
Debug Message: Warlord Verga tried to equip an accessory when the max number 7 was already equipped.Debug Message: Warlord Verga tried to equip another Terrifying Riding Crop, but was prevented (no stacking of accessories, please).
I don't really want to go above 10 yield per tile in the base mod and the file CityHubsXP does something similar to MonumentXP
( ...\Documents\My Games\LegendaryHeroes\Mods\XtraDeconstruct\X_Improvements\ )
The good thing, however, is I don't need to alter these files for compatibility, so users can just add them if they want...
Alright, w/ the release of 2.0.m., I figure I would let you in on some testing I've been doing re: LH hanging when you press the (End) Turn button. I think we've all seen this at least once before:
It appears it's possible to get rid of many AppHangB1 situations. To do so, you need to start the Task Manager (Right-click the taskbar, and click "Start Task Manager"), then Set Priority for LegendaryHeroes.exe to High.
Now, you don't want to have all your CPU set to high for LH, so with LegendaryHeroes.exe selected, click Set Affinity. I found the game to be the most stable when I select 4 to 6 CPU (out of 8, in my case):
This should get rid of 99% of the AppHangB1 situations if you make sure to follow Good Gaming Hygiene™ while playing (Basically: wait for the AI turn to finish before trying to do anything!). Unfortunately, this isn't a perfect solution either, as you will still get the APPCRASH issue:
It's possible those with more than 8 CPU will have better stability, but getting rid of AppHangB1 issue is great news, isn't it?
Note that you will need to Set Priority and Set Affinity every time you start LH, unless you have some sort of shortcut setup or are using a special program to do so. I haven't looked into these things.
I've tried to install this mod about three times now. I'm hoping someone can recognize what I'm not doing to correctly install this mod on Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes.
I had to create a mod folder in my Steam Account version of Fallen Enchantress Legendary Heroes. I extracted the files to the Mod folder. Then I copied the 0_No files and pasted them over the file requested in the installation notes.
When I enter the game, none of the graphics for the characters are visible (although the game loads) eventually the game will stall and crash. The default rulers are no longer present in game, and I can select some of my custom leaders, but they have no graphics and only the backgrounds appear for them.
In the workshop mode, none of the character graphics load as well.
I'm not the best at modding games, and I'm likely missing something obvious, although the installation instructions seemed simple enough and easy enough to follow...
Hey, we'll get you sorted out.
This is likely the issue. You don't need to create a Mod folder, it already exists:
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\LegendaryHeroes\Mods\
Replace USERNAME by your Windows session username. Install the Mod in that directory following installation instructions.

I deleted, and reinstalled the game. My version does not create a Mods folder. I tried to take a screen capture, but I can't find the option for it. My file goes from Miles, Movies, Music and that is all the M files it creates.
When I type C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FE Legendary Heroes\mods in my browser, it tells me that windows can't find it.
Actually:
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\LegendaryHeroes\Mods\has nothing to do with where the game installs...
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\LegendaryHeroes\Mods\ is in the same folder than the game saves\...
you type C:\Users\JJaANF\Documents\My Games\LegendaryHeroes\Mods\ if you are me to find MY Mods\ folder
in MY Documents\ folder (Documents\ is with music\ and videos\ folders...)
Note: you have to run the game once for it to create the mods\ folder, I believe...
And You must enable mods in options menu, to mod the game...
Scott, as JJaANF points out, there is a directory where the game installs (Program Files):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FE Legendary Heroes\
And then there is a different directory for Mods (My Documents):
Are you able to find the My Documents (LegendaryHeroes) folder? This is where Custom Factions, Custom Sovereigns, Mods, Saved Games, Screenshots, etc. are found.
Oh, wow! I'm sorry, the fault is mine. I didn't read it carefully enough. Found it! Its frustrating knowing that you are missing something painfully obvious, but not being able to locate it.
Feel like the guy who couldn't get his computer to work because it wasn't plugged in!
I've fixed an issue in CutscenePacks.xml and uploaded the file to Dropbox. Needs to be unpacked in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FE Legendary Heroes\data\CutScenes\
or
C:\GOG Games\Fallen Enchantress - Legendary Heroes\data\CutScenes\
Merry Christmas / happy holdiays primal, and everyone else. Somehow I missed there was faith earth out so I am gonna give it a whirl and see
Just moved and haven't set my rig up yet but you better believe when I do im jumping back into this.
Update
I've repackaged 2.0.m. and uploaded it on NexusMods.
Thank you, same to you!
Let me know how it goes w/ Faith Earth.
Awesome! Many tactical spells have been added in 2.0.k. and 2.0.m., should be fun. The AI is particularly fond of the new reagent spells...
Amazing, it seems I have to try a new game soon.
Proceeding to install the new version....
Some fun to be had w/ it for sure!
EDIT: Astonishingly, this thread is now 3 years old.
I did some research and it appears you can get rid of BEX crashes by doing this (In Windows 7):
Right-click Computer and then select Properties. In Properties, go to:
Advanced system settings > Advanced > Performance > Settings > Data Execution Prevention
And then select "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select".
Finally, find and add your 'LegendaryHeroes.exe' to the list of exceptions. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FE Legendary Heroes\LegendaryHeroes.exe
Haven't had a BEX crash since doing that, but haven't been using this for long. Sharing to see if that works for others. Also, for less AppHangB1 crashes, see supra, #1879. Otherwise, still have to find anything useful regarding APPCRASH crashes; starting to think it could be related to overheating GPU?
Since I didn't put this in A_UserGuide.txt in 2.0.m., here are the spell effects by name:
Conflagrant (6 Red Arcaniums): Spell does more damage (+3, variable). Cyclonic (4 Yellow Arcaniums): Spell has -2 Casting Time. Decayed (5 Orange Arcaniums): Spell targets all Enemy Units. Flowery (5 Purple Arcaniums): Spell targets all Friendly Units. Gravitational (2 Green Arcaniums): Spell covers a 1x4 Area. Magmatic (4 Red Arcaniums): Spell does more damage (+2, variable). Mimetic (3 Green Arcaniums): Spell covers a 3x3 Area. Mountainous (4 Green Arcaniums): Spell covers a 5x5 Area. Putrescent (6 Orange Arcaniums): Spell is not resistable. Seismic (5 Green Arcaniums): Spell covers a 7x7 Area. Scorching (2 Red Arcaniums): Spell does slightly more damage (+1, variable). Tempestuous (2 Yellow Arcaniums): Spell has -1 Casting Time. Tidal (4 Grey Arcaniums): Spell can be cast at unlimited Range. Tormenting (3 Orange Arcaniums): Spell targets all Champions.
Also, if you don't like these additional spells (24 or so), you can easily remove them by deleting XST_Reagents.xml (or renaming the file extension to .NO), found at:
...\Documents\My Games\LegendaryHeroes\Mods\XtraDeconstruct\X_Spells\XST_Reagents.xml
Very glad to see that this is still being updated.
Congrats on an awesome set of modifications.
I really wish that Stardock had made Legendary Heroes 2 instead of Sorcerer King. I feel it would have been a better game.
Welcome back!
2.0.n. will be released on Jan. 16.
The End.
