Also, keep in mind the AI will train units you design, so when you play a faction, it's always a good idea to design a few units at various points in time during the game. e.g.
True, i ve seeen, some faction not even have some of the basic units. Like Angels who have no mages.
There is a thing I regret with the vanilla unit design. Why it isnt possible to see what else stuff will be unlocked in the design screen. p.e. if I design a tarth archer and I want the best "military" bow but not the magic one which cost alot of crystals, I have to wait till I have that military bow researched, to do the design as I intended. If I could see everything unlocked, unit design would be much easier. Especially if I only want to design some basic units for the factions.
Now some issues and questions,
what is grey magic for? Pls write an entry in the enzyclopady if it does something.
waterwalk (true) ? why 2 times?
wild grain does not give grow for the Dead, it gives .5 grain which does not help. Only the 50+ grave helps.
Something messed with the Morrigans Call. In my Game the Call cost me 156 Mana. (I have 3 cities, 2 Dead Shards and 3,4 DS p.Turn if this helps)
Never thought of trying playing factions i was going to play against. The game runs so slowly on my current laptop (which was top spec when i got it about 5 years ago) that i think there's maybe something wrong with it and i need a new laptop before i'd have time to try that kind of thing. It takes about 2 minutes just to do the AI turn, and about a minute and a half to open the technology tree when i get a new technology to research. Basically just takes forever loading everything.
Are there new versions of all the compatibility file mods for making CoS etc work with Legacy of Magic that need downloaded and installed too to make 2.0 f work?

Hey there, love the mod but I'm having a weird problem. I created my own faction and sov, remembered to put the Deorceysse Secrets on. I start a game, wander a bit scouting and collecting items. When I build my city, everything seems fine. I put up various buildings, but somewhere in the range of 30-40 seasons later, my game locks up. I can click on things and get info, I can tell an army to move (It shows the set path, but doesn't actually move) and the turn button is greyed out with a green outline. If I go out to the main menu and try to load a save, it will let me pick one, but then just sits there with the load button faded red, never loads.
Did a fresh install of the game and your mod, tried a custom kindgom/sov, then tried your version of Lord Relias, same thing happened. Have you run across this problem before?
I'm using the non-steam version of LH, all DLC, version 2.0. Did not see this problem when I was playing unmodded. No mods in except this one.
Computer is well able to run, AMD 8 core 3.5Ghz, 8 GB memory, Radeon R7 360 vid card.
Oh, and 2 other questions, On your research trees there are a bunch of champion techs and such to research, any idea why those never show on my custom factions?
And why should we not set the magic strength and resource frequency? Kinda like having more resources around.

As for the magic strength and resource freq, it's actually in the game itself, when you choose your faction and get to the screen to choose the map and such, both of them show ################ with a tooltip of DO NOT PICK. THIS IS NOT AN ERROR.
I took that to mean I shouldn't change the values off that (pick a different value), perhaps it is meant that you shouldn't choose that option.
Thanks, looks like what you suggested worked, got a test game up into season 80-something and still going fine. Now to start adding some stuff back and seeing what causes the trouble. Going to leave auto turn and auto save off though, they seem like the most likely culprits.
Was going through the readme, it's amazingly detailed for a mod, I'm used to rather, shall we call it "sparse" instructions.
Off to see if I can find pics of all the race tech trees for doing up my customs, otherwise I'll just have to start a game of each to check them out.
Thanks. I'd say that works for a new tooltip, at least I can't think of a clearer way to say it.
Unfortunately, looks like the game still wants to hurt me, this time it crapped out around season 139 with all the options still off. Weird thing I find is that if I exit and restart the game then load a save like 3-4 turns before the crash, it dies at the exact same season every time. Don't know what could be causing it, but I'm going to go try another game using one of your factions and see if it does the same at any point.
LH engine has difficulty handling multiple pop up screens in the same season. You can get pop up screens for all sorts of things, but the most common are:
Thus, when you hit a bump in the road as you just did, try and reduce the number of screens popping up before the fateful season:
All that to say if you reduce the number of screens popping up, then the engine doesn't have to handle which one it needs to try and load first, second, third, etc., and thus is less likely to crash.
Otherwise, I would try the cheat parameter to remove the Fog of War, as explained in the crash section ( T1. (Others) - Crashes ).
Yep, I'll have to mess with it, cause playing Tarth faction just now it hung at season 32. Think I may try an unmodded game and see how it goes.
I'll try another game until it crashes, been reinstalling and all to be safe, so wiped the old saves.
Ok, got a save that keeps freezing up a few turns later, I've tried building different things, not building, leaving my army outside the city, moving it back in, still freezes up. What's the easiest way to get the save to you?
