Some of the champions in champion camps still disappear when going into town. Of the ones I've tested, at least one was sitting on its camp, and most likely the other was too, but I'm not totally sure. Does each champion have its own camp? Or is it random when the heroes are placed on the camp (where they disappear in town) or next to the camp (when they go into town fine)?
Trying to figure this out: If we want to use the optional XtraDeconstruct Canon Files (XC), we rename them to , yes?
The reason I ask is that there is a file called XC_NameGenerator, but no file called XD_NameGenerator. Following the instructions listed in E, the game hangs up at the map selection screen.

The XD_NameGenerator does not supersede the Core LH Name Generator. In order to activate it, you need to: Locate the Core folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FE Legendary Heroes\data\English\ Locate file: WorldNameRuleset.xml Rename to: WorldNameRuleset.NO

edit- no, renaming the WorldNameRuleset.xml causes it to hang up. What exactly is the XD_NameGenerator supposed to do?
Thanks for the fast reponse. Still not working though. It hangs up right after I hit 'next' on the map selection screen. Changing it back to
WorldNameRuleset.xml fixes it, no hang up. There wouldn't be another file that affects it, would it? I'm using all the X D- DLC packs too.
heh.. yeah, I wish it was that simple, but no, mods have always been on.
I am truly at a loss- gotta be something that I'm overlooking. I'll keep trying
Decided to do the scorched earth approach- deleted LH completely, reinstalled from Steam, ran it once with no mods, installed X D, ran it again..... same problem. This time, in addition to hanging up at the map screen, the character portrait and unit figures no longer show up.
Moving XC_NameGenerator.xml and X D_UnitGroupingTypes to the English folder solved the problem. I'll keep playing with the other options, but I'm at a loss to explain why it's not working properly
Yeah, they are in the \Mods\XtraDeconstruct\ folder. The only file in the \Data folder is elemental.str
The \Data folder in the zip file is set to hidden and read only though. Thought that was weird.
Test 1- Moving X D_UnitGroupingTypes and XC_NameGenerator to English folder. Names appear in the Create Custom screen, although both male and female names show up for name generation. Map screen works- although there is no choice for "Legendary" & "Ludicrous" map settings according to XC_ElementalDefs. Games starts fine, but crashes after the first turn
Test 2- Uninstalled completely Xtra mod. Installed Black Market Bazaar and Necromancy Revamped. Both mods show up in game.
Test 3- Reinstalled Xtra mod, all DLC and BMB/NR compatiibilty files. No change made to English folder. Game starts fine, no crashes- but aboslutely nothing from Xtra shows up in the map settings screen or added equipment (checking Hiergammon equipment list for added items- nothing from Xtra)
Test 4- Well, fixed it. Learned an impOrtant lesson today:
EXTRACT THE FILES TO LEGENDARY HEROES!! DO NOT USE THE FALLEN ENCHANTRESS DOCUMENT FILE!!
Now to finally play this thing...

Thanks I found it and made my changes to help with early rush and monsters just taking my new cities.
I was creating a custom Sovereign and I see that there is a weakness, I think it's Overflowing, It gives +2 talents.
How is that w weakness? Is that for testing or am I missing something?
Also, how exactly does beer and pioneer production thing work?

Overflowing (civ) and Polymath (sov) are solely there to give you extra customization points.
Pioneer production works on a per-city basis. Each city generates one resource which gets you one pioneer. Until you use that pioneer (settling, outposting, dying) you're out one point (which means encountering the bug that makes pioneers disappear is really, really, crippling in the event you've only got one city).
Beer...is good for diplomacy trading and used as a resource for some economic spells. And drinking, or so I'm told.

I might be mistaken, but I can't find the spell "Broken Loyalties" that you get when you choose Betrayers.
I don't have it at the start or see it in the tech tree. (I'm probably just missing it!)
(Also, I chose Diplomat as my profession. How does the +30% Trade value work, since I'm still paying 1:1 gold for their tech. I though that I'd pay less gold.
Lastly, Back to the number of units defending my cities.
I had a Conclave (First city upgrade and chose tech). It got attached by a monster and I only had 2 archers in the town.
I did change the "XD_NewCityHubs.xml" file as discussed above. I changed the following:
starting at line 1540

Thanks for the Diplomat feedback, I do think it's broken.
As for the city units. I looked in the strategic view and I do see my 2 Archers and 4 Defenders. I'm playing with the Ironeers Race, but custom faction and Sov.
This was actually the first time a city of mine has been attached, since installing LH again I've been messing with a lot of custom factions and sov designs and have not really played that much. Trying to find an optimal design is half the fun for me and you have added so many new goodies. I'll let you know what happens on my next game if this continues.
P.S. With your next update, you need to warn people a little earlier in your readme about editing the custom faction tech tree. I played a game for a few hours over the weekend and did not know to do that Then I had more time to read at work and found that.
P.P.S. Each time I kill wolfs, I don't get anything from their dens. I play only with your goody huts (not sure if that is the file that controls this. (Not a big deal though)
