A quote from Boaster:
Looks like he uses GS5 artifact names/info. I think that's pretty cool It's easy to recolor most spell icons. You just need a program like Paint Shop Pro and notepad editor. The notepad editor would be the best way to go through and copy/paste palette color codes and then import the new palette maintaining indexes.
Well, your first tries look neat because they don't have pixel thrash (the dragon icon is untouched). However, the later ones keep the gamma sufficient. You can use Boaster's advice to get perfect images - graphical neatness as we know is one of the most important points of a modification.
Perhaps I will be also able to do some for you later.
By the way, are you going to add all 8 Faiths or only the 4 Elemental ones? Asking because I'm curious how you would be going to implement Life or Death warriors with their unique type of mount (reptiles). Elemental Faiths with their leaders are not that hard (except Water maybe, where the Warrior rides an ostrich). And that's not telling about the Pegasi and other units for Arcane faiths... LOM unique concepts still remain unique in many cases.
Well, that can make sense. Can't wait to see further updates with the faiths.
The Deer can go fine as Life beast, although the White Stag was originally an Order unit.
Looks good. I think even the scrolls can be left in their current state for now (at least, the one with the Eternal Flame picture).
How can there not be a wizard hat? I could of sworn I saw one in a mod for FE. This mod this great by the way!
Everything looks fantastic. Congrats with these scrolls - they suit fine to the game even in their current form. I even think that no further improvements to them will be needed for your mod. Keep up all the awesome work!
Also good to read GS5 Mod descriptions and LOM spell names, kinda helps to feel the atmosphere.
Hello there,
back in the days I was a great fan of LOMSE and I read about the project with great interest. I have a few ideas, but since I have nothing to do with modding at all, I do not know if they would be feasible at all...
That said, here's a few points:
1. I wondered if one could implement the distinction between the three different "professions" (thief, warrior, mage) in a way that is not simply adding souvereign personalities. I more or less thought of a "generic" leader in the beginning that has to choose an "alignment with a guild (or school)" when leveling up (say at level 5) instead of the five professions provided in LH. He would then complete a training in this guild (lets say freezing him for 5 turns) and change his appearance afterwards (in fact emerging as a fire giant (warrior), a fire thief or a fire mage). Problem is that one would have to mod the whole skill tree or to add a unique one for one's souvereign and I do not know if this is possible/feasible (let alone the fact that the AI has to handle it, too). On the other hand, it could make the souvereign more distinct from the other heroes...
2. I liked the possibilty in LOMSE that you could "conquer" a foreign temple as long as it was occupied by the roaming troops from the beginning and consequently gain access to another special unit. I wonder if one could implement that, say, at least for the "neighboring" faiths.
I also wanted to say that your Fire-Temple-Volcano rocks!
Cheers and keep up the enthusiasm...
I can't seem to see any resource or shard when using this mod with CoS.
Now I can finally enjoy your mod to the fullest, thanks .
We hope so!
So are you going to add all 8 faiths by any means in future?
Well all things considered, it's far easier to make BMB compatible with XtraLOM than the reverse. So I'll take that burden off your shoulders (It's **MY** job ). I'm planning an update for LH 1.6 and I can easily add the 16 XtraLOM model types (maybe you've created some more for the reboot?) to the non vanilla version art defs.
