Love your mod, running it on one of my machines with no issues, but the second machine is driving me nuts. Basically, icons from demons and wizards are not showing up, DESPITE them being in the right places. I even wiped the game, and reinstalled it, and also, wiped my mods folder and then reinstalled that too.
Any ideas? I know someone else was also complaining about that? is there a trick/fix for it?

Strange if you've got one working fine but the other one doesn't. With the problem PC... do icons from any other mods show up ok? There's not really any trick to it... if you look on the previous page 6357brussell has a problem but re-installed it all and it worked fine.
Check another mod so we can be sure that it's not just D&W?
See my reply #151 in this thread, if you can check the same stuff and let me know? I'm sure we can figure it out just need to go through the process of elimination.

@abob101 prepare to have your mind boggled. Listen to this madness. The PC was causing me weird issues anyway, so i reinstalled windows 7 from scratch, didn't format, but this is WINDOWS 7 from SCRATCH!!! Reinstalled mods from scratch, hell even noticed I was missing your A_LHLIB_Unit Stat vE, just to confirm, you and the makers of Children of Storm use two different LHLIB's correct? Anyways, I digress, having done all this, guess what, on that same machine i STILL can't see the symbols for beasts, shadow, and neither do I see the symbol of summon Angel 1, 2 etc... its boggling my mind. I REALLY have no idea what could cause it. As a developer, what are the things that CAN affect it? are your gfx supposed to be loose in the GFX folder, or are they meant to stay in the demons and Wizards GFX? any advise would be appreciated.
There are times that I find funny that the assets won't load from the documents\my games\Legendary Heroes\Mods\GFX
folder. Sometimes it requires one to put it in the core gfx folders. Try that and see if it works out.
Yeah like parrottmath says, just for a sanity check... copy the D&W Gfx folder to the core Gfx folder and check that it works from there.
This is true, the D&W one is essentially out of date... I will hopefully release a D&W minor update soon with the newer version so it's the same as COS. The differences are relatively minor though.
It shouldn't matter.
Check it works from the core folder and we'll go from there.
Also just another random thing to try, disable Mods (in the Options)... then start the game..... exit, turn Mods back on in the options and try again.

You're rifght for whatever reason on that PC, GFX refuse to fully be grabbed from the MODS folder. So I just basically put them in the main folder itself, and that seems to have taken! woohoo! I'll take that for now, thanks again!
abob101 just want to say that your mod is awesome dude and your attention to any problems a user may have is an inspiration. You have made my gaming experience much better. Thanks for the hard work.
Thanks 6357brussell, glad you like it.... I appreciate the feedback I've had a bit of help with the last major update so it's a credit to those guys too.

Feel like lastly found a real feel of "Master of Magic" in the FELH with your mod.
But can't play with it, sorry... its uncompatible with many ideas and functionality of Patchwork mod that i like and because i manually modded it for myself too. Eh... it would be a great combination if that two mods could be combined.
I implemented Rangers path mod... little upgraded by myself through and added some ranger champions and changed some perks in it to normal feel. Its easy, because it's little. But to implement yours mod in sphere of the Pachwork mod - its must be a great dig-dig-dig! First of all because Patchwork mod replace core files and implemention of your modding look in them (CoreUnits, CoreMonsterUnitTypes mainly) crash that feeling(( In some other cases your idead is so overhelmimg that now in only Patchmod i feel myself narrowly.
It is very hard to locate differences because of tons of modding things for myself. And together they give some sort of bugs like item loses (like sov design lost mounts or other thigs), dissapiared description strings or blank city improvement without name, cost, descr and icons...
Its just little visual, but all other is to mixed too... bad to me... wish to play them merged. REALLY WISH!!!!!! For my IMHO CoS doesn't give that feeling, as Patchwork. CoS is great and has awesome new factions and many other things, but... some lack of ingame reality. May be its because i am so strange...but...well. Thaks for your work, you make gems, its real precious modding ideas and realization, but for now i could look at them only from distance, not to use. May be... somehow... ill broke that cage and try to combine them myself, but only when yours would be finished and Patchwors lastly updated. And maybe to that time even they both somehow would be mergable and compatible too.

That path selection window sucks for modding. It's really painful to create new graphics that match the stock ones. There's no dynamic sizing... no scrollbar or buttons to indicate there are more paths on the 2nd page. Yuck.
I guess to have different sized windows that you could use depending on how many paths you have installed would be one way to go.... but then the user would have to change it each time they install a new path... thats kind messy too.
I tend to think a better way would be to redesign the screen, so that it could fit 10+ paths on it and/or it has a scrollbar. Personally i'd be happy to get rid of those big graphic selection panels to save space. They look nice don't get me wrong, but they're not the most functional design once you have more than about 7 or so paths.

If there a way we can have more an 1 additional class on top of the 5 basic ones? I like ranger and necromancer mod class as well but it seems like need to choose only one since they may have conflicts..
You should be able to have extra classes in addition to D&W. There might be a few minor issues but for the most part I think the necromancy and ranger paths should work fine.
Just bear in mind if you have more classes that what will fit on the screen (the path selection window where you choose a class) you have to scroll using the mouse wheel to see the extra classes.
So it should work really, let me know if you notice any specific compatibility problems happy to take a look.

new to game, so just wondering: for us looking for more sov paths, this looks like better option than CoS, right? I like their new stuff, but it doesn't fill the need I might be looking for. Just wondering.
Also, would this be compatible with Necromantic Compendium Ability from Necromancy Revamped, or it's basically the same thing with summoner? Don't want any conflicts.
Different things really..... yes D&W will give you an extra path and make summoning a much greater part of the game.
COS doesn't add paths, but gives you a bunch of really different new factions (as well as items and other stuff).
Haven't tested it, but I think it will mostly work ok.
You could always try them one at a time and see what you like.
abob are you planning to update this mod to work with 1.6?
I really love the mod and consider it in my top 2 MUST HAVES

Hi Kellhound_AU, glad you like it. Thanks for the heads up on the links i've just fixed them.
There will not be a compatibility update for 1.5 / 1.6. There might be a few issues but I believe it all still works for the most part.
Instead of a minor update I'm hoping/planning to release a major update, pretty much a D&W 2.0. It will still have all the summoning in the current version, but will add another new path (probably two), a heap of new factions and lots of other stuff.
I had originally planned on releasing it in a series of modules (the current D&W being the first) however that's looking to be too difficult, so it will likely now be one great big mod. I was hoping to have it all done sooner but i've gotten a bit carried away and keep adding stuff so now i'm trying to get it all working together. I think it will be pretty cool though... there's things like a Demon cult faction that has an increased summon pool and unique demons they can summon, that sort of stuff.
Not sure of an ETA, i'm kinda waiting to see when LH 1.7 is going to come out and will try and get it released about the same time.
You got me curious, what's the other mod in your top 2 must haves?
