I was kicking Magnar to the curb, waiting outside one of his cities with my sovereign's army. I clicked end turn. Suddenly, I get a pop-up telling me my sovereign teleported to a nearby city, because she was killed. Only she was hurt and disabled for 7 turns, the other units and champions were fine. I am assuming I was the target of a Flame Pillar or some other damage spell. But I really have no idea.
Could there be a pop-up and zoom to location when an army is the target of a strategic spell? The pop-up would include the spell used, the amount of damage dealt, and the status effect given (if any). This would be really helpful in judging the power of enemies and being aware of what is happening to your armies.
I agree with this addition.

They have some work to do in regards to how they deal with death of the sovereign or champion due to these strategic spells. The notification on the side would be sufficient to tell you that "One of your units were the target of devestating magic in the lands far to the east" (At the very minimal).
So that's why my sovs were dying so easily against magnar... I got so sick of dealing with it I just cast curgens volcano on each magnar city I found so I could avoid going through their territory.
Been requested since the first version of the game.
Yes, but now AI is actually getting decent at using tactical spells.
