My laptop's video card died a few days ago so I went looking for a replacement. I was thinking of getting another gaming laptop but am enamored with the idea of something slim and sleek. The Microsoft Surface Pro really called out to me. There are two concerns: the tiny hard drive means I'll need an external harddrive hooked up often and the screen isn't even 11 inches.
So I plan on using my new laptop for music and photo/video editing mostly but I do enjoy games occasionally. Does anyone have experience editing music (audacity) or photo/videos on the Surface Pro? Is the screen uncomfortably small (the default font size was hard to read)? As for gaming, I'm looking at Fallen Enchantress, Diablo 3, and Magic: The Gathering Duels of the Plainswalkers, and SoaSE:R.
Maybe you have a suggestion for a sleek laptop other than the surface? The only thing I'm sure I don't want is an Apple product.

I'd suggest the Lenovo Ideapad Yoga 13
Checked it out. The whole "tent" and "screen only" mode seem gimmicky, but the rest of it looks great. Is a GPU even needed to edit music or videos?
For editing videos, you might want a decent GPU, but for music, you'll be fine with integrated graphics.
