WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW A DLC OMG is it possible? Someone wake me up
We found a way.
hey guys Yarlen i believe the wormhole is disabled? Me and KingKiang are testing the beta against 2 AI's and researched wormhole. we both unable to use them after researching them. I'm tec loyalist and he is Vasari loyalist. please check into this. thanks.
Edit: BTW the patch is amazing and great job to you and the devs. All the planets looks great and more detailed. Nice Job!
After updating to the beta, I can no longer log on to ico.. so my online games are history? D:
If you open up your user.settings file in Notepad (from C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Setting) - find the line that says IcoServerPort. It should say 8000. If it doesn't just change it and save. That should sort things.
Or just delete the file and the game will recreate it with the proper settings.
Your settings file needs to update for the game. If you have it marked as readonly, you'll need to let it update and reset your settings.
It sadly does say 8000
I'm unsure then. Please contact support@stardock.com and they'll be able to collect more info.
Modders - Please do NOT update your mods for v1.50 until its final release in June. Stuff may/will change and spending time on things now will be wasted effort.
That's been my standard policy with betas.
Considering the ConvertData is conveniently missing that shouldn't be a problem.
One thing that bugs me is that it's the Advent Loyalists that got a beam weapon damage increase via Titan research when really, it's the rebels' Eradica that has half a million different beam emitters. Logically, since the titan requires so many beam weapons, it would make sense that researching the titan would lead to advances in beam technology.
Though I'm probably just jelly because the plasma weapon damage increase isn't as useful. Better Adjucators and Destras isn't as appealing as better bombers and illuminators.
I'm going to beg you to take my money. This sounds like a ton of fun, however I must ask this. Will the DLC be capable of being disabled or are we stuck with it once we purchase it?
i think my only gripe might be cutting desperation time from 45 ti 15 seconds. seems a bit excessive to me.
uninstalled it, I will just wait until the june release. :>
Playing the 1.50 beta i can't seem to jump to another star system or go through worm holes, i have the research done but it wont let me, bug?
I could be wrong.... but I think that although the Coronata has fewer beams than the Eradcia, it actually has more beam firepower. so a 5 % inrease is helpfull... especially if you consider all the other damage buff of the AL.
Of course, still nothing beat Vasari Phase Missiles..... makes all weapon upgrades and buffs + Energy Aura look like a pathetic excuse in comparsion.
While I do like the new way that the Starbase mobilization is handled, I cant say the Tier 2 VR research has me exceptionally excited.
What VR tier 2 research? I don't see them getting any new toys.
I think kbeast007 means that they get 10% more time on their missions on the second tier of titan research. I don't really think the goal was to be exciting, it was just to add a bit of benefit to researching the titan build levels other than the ability to built your titan 25% further.
The Eradica has more beams and more beam firepower ( though less firepower per beam since it has a total of 14 beams while the Coronata has only 3, but that's because the Coronata is better at dealing large damage to a single target while the Eradica is much better at spreading out massive damage amongst several targets, as demonstrated by Unity Mass and Chastic Burst ) and completely outguns the Coronata once Strength of the Fallen caps out.
I get that feeling too, none of them are really anything game changing or even something you'd consider researching over the Titan tech, meaning you won't be paying for the Titan research to get the side bonus, you'll be paying for the Titan research to get the goddamn Titan and the side bonus is just that, a nice little side bonus.
Which is probably the entire point.
And now.... let me test my new Ankylon....
Is it just me or does it seem like the AI has lost some of it's bite with this update? Possibly since they no longer get extra funds? The resistance they're giving me since this update is considerably more subdued.
Holy fek... I just got the destroyer of worlds achievement... I thought that wasn't supposed to be achievable until you got the DLC pack in June.
