Previously we hid units in the train window if you didnt have any of the materials needed to train them (but they were greyed out if oyu had at least 1). Now we display them greyed out all the time. This caused issues where oyu would unlock mages or juggernauts but not see them because you didnt have any crystal or metal.
Now all the goodie huts you get tresure form have treasure chests in them (color based on how valuable they are)
I realize the update is unreleased, but please give the AI some more love before releasing if possible. Specifically, prevent the AI from declaring wars it's unable to fight - or make sure that when the AI does declare war, that it sends more than individual heroes against enemy cities to get slaughtered.
I am very angry, so nobody talk to me. I was hoping to be playing
This morning.
I like the fact that 0.85 fixes the bug with the whole army being teleported to a city of the leading hero dies. Can we please have more long standing bugs like this fixed? Pretty please? Fixing these sorts of issues really do improve the feel of the whole game.
I would be playing my game, having the time of my life while thinking that this must be one of the best games ever. And then......and then....the AI would come along and start to call me names, then it would throw things at me and start to burn my beautiful cottages and castles.
As if that wasn't enough it would then start to kill my troopers whom had lovely uniforms of blue and turquoise, eventually I myself would suffer the same fate.
How do you imagine that made me feel? I was proper upset I was.
And all because it didn't like my house number.
Any word on when this will be released? Today's my last day connected to a fast internet connection for a while ...
I am thinking they have found some last minute doberrys to fix, so things are running late.
Dem bugs are really small and can hide behind stuff.
Dem bugs dem bugs dem SMALL bugs...
It's released. We actually had a steampipe issue that kept it from going out last night, but with a little help from the wonderful folks at Valve its been taking care of.
Valve has a product called Steampipe? That's awesome!
Looking forward to playing .85 this weekend. Thanks, Derek & Co.
Fantastic, thank you. I will be playing all night long, I can feel it in my water.
Hoopla! Thanks Derek! I'm going into Steam right now!
Awesome! You guys rock!!!
Anyone else's wild horses stopped appearing in the .85 update? All i see now are shadows of the horses but no horses themselves.
Have you tried validating your game cache? I've gotten in the habit of doing so after any new download. Found 4 files that needed fixing, getting ready to start up a new game shortly.
Reproduced here, we are checking it out.
Just started new game, had to reset my preferences after validating files. Horses are showing up as normal, both in 3D mode and cloth map. Running Win 7/64 bit.
Edit>Weirdly, all of my custom sovereigns have become scholars, except those who were adventurer, armorer, bandit lord, warlord and hunter.
And after checking my notes, the Adventurer sov used to be a General.
Did that get fixed?
How do you do this? ...and How do you fix the files once it is done?
You right click on the game link and choose properties.
From properties chooce validate integrity of game cache.
It should automatically fix any files that are broken by downloading them automatically.
i just realized that light plate and plate were nerfed - at least i think they were. light plate is now 22 def and plate is 32. i'm pretty sure they used to be 30 resp. 40 def. is that a new change? i'm not sure i get the reason for that. i thought this patch was supposed to make mid/late game combat a bit longer - reducing armor values kind of defeats the purpose of the weapon damage reduction?!
The pedestrians not showing up on resources is a valid issue (updating your cache wont fix it). We have a fix for it here and it will be in the next patch.
Those are the same stats they were in FE, nothing has changed.
"The spellbook remembers the last strategic spell you cast and starts there when you reopen it"
This is nice but could still be a lot better.
I've only played .85 for about an hour, but very good improvements.
I started a new game as I usually do after each release. I'm wondering, is the Adventurer's Boon trait no longer connected to the Strength trait? Or is there some prerequisite for the trait now that I'm not seeing? At this point, it cannot be selected during the level up screen (or at least for my current level 10 sovereign).
Visually, at least, the traits no longer have a line connecting between the two.
I am a few hours into a .85 game, so far the changes are working very nicely.
