These guys even have a "playable alpha demo" on their kickstarter page. The demo feels like they're just basically re-creating DK2, but I imagine that if they can have DK2 as their "base game", and then use their kickstarter funds to add on what they want, this could finally be the long awaited Dungeon Keeper 3.

Just 15 days left and they've reached over half their goal.
I am already in this and Forsaken Fortress. I have a feeling that these two projects would easily be funded in the summer. Now there are so many good projects, that even good ones might not get funded. The kickstarter page is really awful for finding stuff as well.
That's very true. It seems like every time I look at KS, I find new projects that I'd love to fund. I've backed 7 different games already, and I think I've reached my limit unless something really amazing comes out. After backing Grim Dawn, M.O.R.E., Star Citizen, Maia, Sui Generis, Forsaken Fortress and now War for the Overworld, I'm tapped out.
We'll see how this group of "investments" pans out before I back more projects. I have a sinking feeling that all of these games I'll see on Steam or Gamersgate sales for 75% off after they're released... and could've spent less money on more of a sure thing. We'll see.
I think you may be missing the point of Kickstarter. It is almost guaranteed that these games, if they get made, end up going on sale at some point. Kickstarter isn't about getting the best deal in a sale, it's about getting the best game made in the first place.
Very true. I get caught up this time of year in the flurry of steam sales and game deals. I think the last time I paid full price for a game was last year for SotS II... it seems I only buy games now when they're on sale. Thanks for reminding me that buying games isn't always about the money.
These guys have less than a half hour to go. They've gone way beyond their goal, but need a few more pounds to reach some of the flex goals they have in mind.
I wonder are there existing any good game which used kickstarter and running right now
