Seems like a mix of RPG, Survival, Tower defense with some Strategy. Just up my alley
They seem a bit low on momentum. I have backed them anyways. What do you ppl think?
Looks like something that could be really fun... like a Fort Zombie game with much better graphics and no mountain of bugs.
Fort zombie... now there was an ambitious game that just didn't deliver. Still, it was awesome roaming those big cities. There was always a very real sense that you might not make it to where you were going... or back again.
Lets help these ppl survive Kickstarter, and then worry about the zombies
They got a bit more momentum now (shameless bump)
Looks like they got some big fish to bite!
You would think that some of the base building nuts would come out of the woodwork for this. I'm still sour over the decision to cancel DK3 all those years ago. There just hasn't been a good base building game to fill the void left by DK2 (still play that all the time). Evil Genius was fun, but there were too many bugs and I always hated how locked in you were to your designs... you had better know what you're doing before placing anything. Dungeons isn't the same... it feels you're required to game the system with that happiness and leveling mechanic (and the AI of your minions... gah!).
Yeah, this will be difficult. I think there are so many games on Kickstarter now that each game can drown in the noise of them all wanting attention. The Kickstarter web page is REALLY bad when it comes to finding stuff you are interested in as well. There should be sort by category (All video games marked as strategy, rpg, ++), sort by added date, sort by funding and much more. As it is now, you just get some random games claimed to be staff picks and so on.
The game is almost there, but needs a final push to make it. Please take a look people.
I have a feeling that the Kickstarter page is a bit overcrowded, and that good games are in trouble because of the sheer number of games on the page.
They got funded, but there's still a day and a half to get in and help them with their stretch goals. Apparently they've already added atomic squirrels to the game. Awesome.
