Great oldstyle game by the looks of it - Dungeon keeper with a touch of Dwarf fortress.

A seriously impressive tech demo at the moment - just watch the video
Neither of them look like they are going to make it unfortunately - but I thought they might be interesting.
I'm incredibly surprised that Maia hasn't been fully funded yet. Where are the Dungeon Keeper fanatics? Doesn't anyone remember the awesome that was Startopia? It would be a damn shame to miss out on this game if it is going to play to the same crowd. We need MORE god games, not fewer.
Well Maia just got an article on rock paper shotgun, but it will take something big to get them over the line
Sui generis I picked up from a tweet by Stephen Fry "Lawks! These @bare_mettle fellows have the most amazing physics I’ve ever seen in a game engine. Truly awe-inspiring! " - got to love Stephen Fry - Lawks indeed my good man!
Maia got funded! Good times. Let's hope it gets made as well, the alpha demons looked incredible though.
Sui-generis is pretty impressive. Too bad people are not supporting them. I would if I could.
Sui-Generis is incredible.
What do you mean you would if you could? I pledged for both of these games, although SG is gonna have a hard time making it...
I could as in if I didn't owe my whole monthly paycheck worth of money to my bank. I think my wife and my kid would kill me if I spend money on this instead of making sure we have food and power.
$5 doesn't sound like much, but it's really about how you budget yourself.
$5 X 10 starts to sound like a real number.
$5 X 100 starts to sound like a decent chunk of most peoples pay checks.
I don't buy junk I don't need, which isn't to say that a KS is junk, but it is to say that I don't need it. It all adds up, if you're fortunate enough to never worry about every time you drop $5 on something non-essential, then that's great for you. Not everyone looks at it that way though.
Sui generis is going to be close

now looking at needing about £1000 per hour - whether it makes it or not i'm sure that this isn't the last we will hear about it.
Sui Generis just needs £2000 in 7 hours. They should get funded.
Sui Generis made it with 10k to spare. Awesome. The developer was actually featured with his game engine in Forbes Magazine.
One I just randomly saw is a board game(!) blast from the past classic--Ogre, by Steve Jackson Games. Steve had planned on hand creating 3,000 board game copies and decided to try Kickstarter so they could up production a little and have some back stock. His Kickstarter goal was $20k. What was raised?
Would you believe $923,680?
Ogre was a real fun little "pocket game" back in the day and went through a lot of iterations. Steve started buying up all the little board games and out of business RPG rules sets and books from a lot of defunct publishers--which some people liked and other hated. Still, he has kept board gaming alive almost single handedly.
Fans have wanted a PC version of Ogre for a looooong time and he just won't do it. He gives alot of "reasons" that differ every few years but end up with "We plan to one day but we want it done right"--and it never gets done. Which is a shame because it would be a great fast game on a PC for multiplayer.
In any event, still nice to see an 'old school' game back in print and spruced up. Ogre is a blast for almost all ages (if they can read and count well).
Here's the details on his record breaking Kickstart for a board game. Heck, I may tear up here.
Ogre is loosely based on Keith Laumer's series of BOLO books which pretty much described the Terminator universe before there ever was one...not bad for a guy born in 1925. If you can find a collection of these stories they are a really fun read through and they really are what brought Ogre alive for its' fans.
Here's the Vassal site for Ogre and it's sequel, GEV if you want to check out the original game rule book, boards and playing counters.
