pls make it works on windows8. it hides on startscreen.
I do agree that complaining doesn't help but everyone has the right to express how they feel about something they have purchased.
I too upgraded to Windows 8 and I have been reading the post regarding it not working in the new W8 UI. But I will wait until there is a fix.
Using the default cursor in windows, allows me to use it. For right now that is okay. Stardock is aware of the problem, I believe they will fix it.
Uninstalling and re-installing from Stardock will likely address most of the issues the last build of CFX and will allow it to work on the (metro) start screen.
The version number is the same.
I installed again the cfx and it works now. can't see the bug now. Thanks alot SD! I'm happy you're listening to ordinary user like me.
It doesn't work in Metro for me. I have a fresh install of Windows 8 Pro on my computer. Decor8 and Start8 are Gr8 though.
Just use a VM you get the best of both worlds. I use VMware Workstation. But their are free VM software a good one is VirtualBox. When I work I use windows 8 when I play I use windows 7 at least until all my fav apps are compatible with win 8 or you can duel boot.

Hello all,
Just a quick note to confirm that I too had issues with cursor fx when I first installed win 8.
I noticed that it was not compatible with win 8 so I uninstalled it thinking Stardock would fix sooner or later.
I read the forum article this morning and deleted the old set up file I had previously downloaded.
I used Stardock central to download the latest file and install cursor fx again all works fine.
I did not have to use registry cleaners, just uninstall and reinstall seemed to work for me in desktop mode and the start screen.
some months on I know have the issue no cursor on start screen reinstalled still the same mystified
Any new if this is now somehow fixed. Also having problems in start screen mode.
I hope so because I truly need a custom cursor for my laptop. It is not big enough and hard to find. For me the most needed apps are KeepSafe, Fences, Start8, ObjectDock (love it with touch screen laptop) and Modern Mix (I run DesktopX, Decor8, and Windows FX but that's not really needed).
If I had Cursor 8 (I guess that is what it would be called) that would complete my customization of my touch screen.
