Despite only a handful of reviews (average review score 4/5), it is in the top list of games being played by Steam even though the people most likely to buy this type of game got it for free as a non-Steam game (so it won’t count).
I think it’s safe to say that Fallen Enchantress is the start of a beautiful new fantasy game world.
Well. this is the first game in this genre (other than maybe Civ2 ... if that counts) and I have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying it.
It's a fine game, no doubt, and maybe the best all-around RTS game I've ever played (maybe behind Master or Magic, but not by much).
I just wish it wouldn't crash every 20 minutes.
Sorry for being pedantic, but this is not a RTS it's a TBS. As of course, was MoM.
Sure, that's the top sellers and it's great to see FE listed.
I though we were talking of games being played, and as far as I understand, that information is available here:

I was happy to see this post by Frogboy and immediately went to baske in the glory of turn based gaming. But alas, I can't see FE listed, even in the top 100.
The game's been between 400 and 900 the times I checked. It seems to drop to 0 every now and then, so there are probably a lot of issues with gathering the statistics. I see it 0 at right now for example.
Heh, the difference being that DA2 was a massive departure from DAO and ME3's ending after 120+ hours of gaming just felt too short. I think gaming companies never wrote papers in University, the conclusion must be substantive and is a large part of the paper.
X-com is a terrific game with a few bugs, don't know what people are complaining about other than a $5 DLC that basically lets you colour your armor and gives you a new hairstyle or something.
FE isn't getting the same complaints as WoM did but is that because the people that left WoM behind haven't come back to try FE? I don't know.
I know of people that are checking out Elemental. I haven't heard anything bad yet from them.
Nope, it's because FE is way better than WoM was. I played WoM and didn't like it, but I'm enjoying FE immensely.
I've been watching some Let's Plays of FE, and while it does appear to be miles and miles better than EWoM, I still feel as though it's missing something...
Can't quite put my finger on it, but I think I will have to wait it out a bit and see what the next round of patch/expansion brings. I think the reality may be that Dominions spoiled free movement for me. From what I have noticed (and this was the same 'problem' in GC2) the AI simply cannot handle free movement. Now, Dom3 clearly is a beast of a different color, and has it's own bugaboos, but the province based movement with potentially massive battles appeals to me so much more than fast stacks of 3-6 units running rings around the AI.
But, my mind's not quite made up yet. I've just come to appreciate node or province based map design for games of this ilk, and I fear it's going to take one hell of an effort from a free movement system to draw me fully back in.
