Salted pork is a create, cheap item to use to heal your champs instead of going Life tree..but pork isnt kosher/Halal and thus I cant use it. Please change this so the items are culturally acceptable to every player. THanks
My guess would be trolling since I've yet to meet anyone who objects to something like this in a videogame.
To the OP: The reason they aren't going to make the change is because if they start giving in to people complaining that X is offensive or hurts the game experience, pretty soon nothing will be left since there seems to be at least one person who will object to any silly thing. When you start giving in to silly demands, you walk down the road of destruction of your product.
If you have a set of beliefs or practices that restricts what you do, then it is incumbent on you to live your life accordingly, not to demand others make changes to suit out.
Because I'm a recovering alcoholic, I never "consume" alcohol in any game I play. This includes EverQuest, Word of Warcraft, and now of course, Fallen Enchantress. It seems silly, I know. However, I would never, ever suggest to a game designer not to put alcohol into a game (or to call it something else). It's my choice not to "consume," and I have no desire to inflict that choice on any other player.

I personally never engage in war, or battles of any kind for that matter. I never cast blight or sacrifice. Only allowing myself to win through diplomacy as the spell of making is implied domination or eradication All other alternatives are absolute tragedies and I wouldn't want to offend my, or any one elses, ancestors if it ever got out I was emulating such heinous activities in a video game! The lack of peaceful options disturbs me, do the people at Stardock have anything close to a conscience?
Edit: I have no problem with volcanoes suddenly raising en masse underneath enemy towns. It's just an unfortunate act of nature that there were magma veins so close to the surface.

Nah, I don't think he is trolling, anyway pork wasn't food to humankind as pig is cleaning nasty stuff eat, filling your body with white worm eating in your even cooking, still worm there, though hard to see, since pig wouid eat anything even dead of thier own kind, eat a dog, even human....sort of white great, Since game in pork gave you heal (more of not gave you heal but gave you sick in long term, should eat a veg) LOL, I do eat meat, but most cow, sheep, ect, they eating grass while pig eating everything, or mostly I though....Why not using apple replace pork, I mean no one had problem eating a apple or annying orange.

and you will have salted meat that is not pork available for every store purchase. It functions exactly the same as salted pork and salted pork is still available in the store.
Pretty sure you should be able to mod it yourself, check out the guide Heavenfall wrote over in the mod forums.

For OP, Here is a file, simple mod though you may had to override coreitems file, and it's cause game start new and forgot your saved game, so make sure Saved game backup, I do leave readme in file, I think. I don't require you to ovewrite any of the original files (hence the reason why the salted pork is still available)
It's work, I tested it, Your way of modding is lot safer than my, but I point out, last time I testing, and modding in back day beta .913, the "shop" had a limited number of item, unable to buy item or see item since shop didn't show all of item, it's save lot of space by remove unneed item or junk items that someone may not want to used. Thank, I just got back to this game, now it's out of 1.01, I start playing, arrrr those movies I do not understand and still they didn't add subitile movies, make thier work all in vain making movies for me to see it. LOL. ('m deaf (left ear) and (right ear) hard of hearing)..
