I want to test fences but there is a problem with the trial version.
Message: There was a problem unlocking fences. Please try again.
I try fences on a Win7 x64 system.
Update: a new build of fences 2 solved this problem.
Please contact stardock support.
Did you reboot after install? Try that and if that doesn't work, re-install it.
No, I didn't. After installing Fences 2, the evaluation box popups directly. There wasn't a request to reboot the system.
Update: Re-boot doesn't help, also not a new installation of Fences.
I have the same problem. Had Fences Free installed before, also Win7 x64. Reboot doesn't help either.

i suspect NTLM-passworded proxy connection, like Squid in NT Domain
at home i have Win7 x64 direct connectinon
at work i have Win7 x64 domain/proxy
F2 cannot be activated, when i click "start trial" it cannot connect to and offers manual copy-paste challenge/response sequence
Same message: "There was a problem unlocking fences. Please try again." with the trial version.
I am running Win7, 64-bit. If anyone knows a solution, please kindly share with the us!

Same problem here. turning off the firewall did not help.

I seem to have the same problem -- running XP sp3
Installed the trial version with a view to buy -- I like the sound of what it "should" do.
The install moved all my icons into fences, but when I try to move an icon or use
Fences in any way it gives a registration box.
I click trial version
Then it seems to try to verify something, and ends up with the error
"Problem unlocking fences"
Reboot does not help
Is there a fix ?

And same problem here, running on W7 ultimate 64 bit.
Reboot did nothing.

Same problem her. Very annoyng, bought this software and now it won't register!

I did contact support ( Ticket ID: WQK-949-42288 Subject: cannot activate fences 2.0) but did not get an answer yet. If there is a fix then it should not be a problem to send it to me?
I really want to get started with fences....
