I've seen this game mentioned in a couple threads but can't find it's own thread.

It's much more but at it's basics think BG2/Icewindale/Planescape in a custom world with todays graphics.
Just 4 days left on the Kickstarter and it's almost 2.8 million, hope to push to at least 3 million (Stronghold) by the end if not 3.5 (and 2nd big city).
If anything, give a like on their Facebook page and help get another level to the mega dungeon.
I had to pledge on this one, my first ever Kickstarter pledge. It's just too good to pass up.

Give money to Nexus 2 instead. They haven't even reached their goal.
Shouldnt brad start his own kickstarter to make a proper game of Elemental?
I take it Fallen Enchatress is not proper enough for you?
nope, its not.
Ok. Thanks for clarifying
In KS, he could have a stretch goal that removes whoring the game to Steamworks.
I'd say considering he's paying for it, he can whore it out to whoever he likes.
Back on topic, I'm not funding the game but I'll definately buy it when it's out.
FE doesn't use Steamworks, you can get it from Stardock and never worry about Steam.
Baldur's Gate was so much fun back in the day, I still remember having to flip those 6-7 cds in and out of the computer when going between zones. I didn't really get the storyline, things were a bit too open world for me then (give me a break, I was 13). Now it seems like just the kind of game the market needs to bring back that sort of "old school" rpg feel. Dragon Age 1 had it, Dragon Age 2 was just awful (too much effort on the Action and not enough on the RPG).
Edit: looks like Dragon Age was indeed intended to be the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate. Well done, I say.
Or $25 buys a DRM-free version now, $45 buys the 1st expansion as well. Worth it, IMHO - the great single-player RPG is a rare thing these days, and Eternity looks like it'll be a really interesting escape - free from publisher confines of making a family-friendly, xyz-stereotyped, form-fitting D&D game.
cheers,

Agreed. It's just $25 to get a digital copy of the game plus a couple goodies. You can pledge a lot more of course if you want more goodies. They've said it will probably be a $35-$40 game on release. And $20 add-on for the 1st expansion (which they will fund themselves from sales of PE and their own money, that extra $20 will go to fund the main game) is a great deal as well. It will be a full on expansion as it was 10-15 years ago, not this DLC crap of today.
I personally have pledged $50 for extra goodies plus Expansion and Strat Guide add-ons. I'm considering upping it to a box. I *really* want the cloth map but not sure I can invest that much. But I may just spring for it.
Currently approaching 3.3 million with just a bit over a day left. If we hit 3.5 million we'll get a 2nd large city. Looks really good we'll get there. They will be doing a live stream all day tomorrow for the countdown.
Seriously...$25 for what looks to be an awesome looking game. Worth it.
Worth it to you, sure. I'm not a bank. Even preorders annoy me most of the time (I only do it a day or two in advance if that.)
I'll do it for Star Citizen because its the game I've been wanting for ten years or so and it'll get me access to the alpha and beta, anything else no. I definately respect new IP but I'm not going to pay for a product that doesn't exist.
While that's true, FE did make some arrangement with Steam. While I can only guess, I have a feeling that the Oct 23 release date is somehow connected to that Steam agreement.
In the end, I'm just glad Stardock chose to entertain a separate avenue for owning the game, aside from steam.
Kickstarter over! Now officially the most successful gaming kickstarter of all time.
