We’re excited to announce the details and official opening date for the 2012 GUI Champs. As you may know, the GUI Champs is an international skinning competition where graphic designers and skinners compete for cash and prizes and a huge worldwide audience. We have been talking about it for several months now, and the GUI Champs will open for submissions on Tuesday, September 4th, 2012.

for the windowblinds, are there any specifics regarding the different OS's or is it just a general submission.

Can't believe wallpapers beat out icons though...those are some of my favorite submissions when it comes to GUIC.

Icons were the most creative part of the last GUI championships. It's a shame they aren't being included. I believe most consumers are interested in Window Blinds and Icons than in Dreamscapes. They're cool but after about 5 minutes I'm tired of them taking up resources.
