The bonus gained from city spells based on the number of essence is not updated once a scrying pool is built.
Exemple:
- City with 2 essence, spells Inspiration & Nature's Bounty cast and provide 2 research and 2 grain each (one per essence)
- Scrying Pool built: The bonus from Inspiration & Nature's bounty stay the same (+2)
- Spells canceled and cast again: The bonus is now 3 research and 3 grains, taking in account the new essence from the scrying pool.
I surmise that exiting the game and reloading the savegame may also be a workaround for this bonus refresh issue.

Just wanted to bump this to say I am still experiencing this bug on .983.
This would really hurt Porcipinee's effectiveness given all of the magic debuffs.
Does it update correctly when an Oracle is added? (This one might have been fixed, but just mentioning it in case it hasn't.)
I thought this was fixed BUT you may need to wait until the turn after the scrying pool finishes to see the increased bonuses?
I did run a few turns thinking it might be that, as well as saving/reloading and restarting the game. I found dispel and recast to work, nothing else. Maybe it is just me? I have only patched for a long while, perhaps i need to download the whole thing.
After an uninstall and reinstall of .983 I can confirm this bug is still happening with the scrying pool on propaganda, but not meditation.
