Hello, this is my first ever post on this forum, so hi. I'm a brit but I have a great love for american politics. I would just like to say how much I enjoy this game but I think there are some minor issues I need help with. Firstly I find it very hard to win more endorsements than my opponent even if I have several more outreach centre. This means if Im a democrat I tend to lose endorsements such as the support of the NAACP even when I'm playing with Obama with seems very strange. Also I find it annoying how custom characters are limted to only a small amounts of points to spend on stamina and other traits. I understand that the game has to be balanced but I find it impossible to beat the likes of Romney and Trump whose stats are a lot higher than mine, is there any way I could change this. Anyway thank you for reading and sorry if I have made any game or technical errors.
If you're having trouble with this, I'd suggest creating a custom character, and maxing out stamina points. After that, maybe try against lesser candidates. If that don't work, maybe trying turning down the level you're playing. If that still don't work, custom create an opposition party candidate. Give him minimal stats and/or have them support unpopular positions and/or oppose popular positions. Granted, this might make the game a little too easy, if you max out your stats, play low levels, and against a customized opposition candidate with no stats, but you'll start to get a real feel for the game this way, and get you used to how the game plays, and voters respond to your actions. Once you got it mastered that way, try ramping up the difficulty level, or ignore that customized opponent.

Glad you're enjoying the game. A few tips related to your questions:
-Make sure you're building AND UPGRADING your Outreach Centers. This will make a big difference in how quickly you can accumulate PR Clout
-When creating a custom candidate, lowering other stats from their default value of 5 gives you more points to spend in other areas. Try this to focus on the stats that play best to your strategies.

When you create a custom candidate, you can maximize their stats. Go to modding forum and look for Redarrow's instructions.
Once you collected the Democratic endorsements, try to get at least one Republican endorsement so you can appeal to the center.
After you are done with endorsements, demolish outreach centers to recoup some money and build new election/consulting headquarters and you get extra headquarter operatives.
ah thank you so much guys, I have just started to build tons of outreach centres, I'm getting into the swing of this game now, I even managed to win texas as a democrat. Now to get new york as a Republician.
