The Story:
In 3018 a rebellion was formed, a group of people that called themselves the Unification Alliance they set up colonies on mars and as the war between the humanitarian alliance and the unification alliance the synthetics arrived to cleanse the galaxy of it's natural resources. Thus a massive war begins with no chance of diplomatic solution.
Factions:
1. Unification Alliance (Rebellious Humans)
- A balanced faction relying on there technology for Victory
2. Humanitarian alliance (Humans From Earth)
- Offensive Faction based on brute force for Victory
3, Synthetics (Machines)
- Low Cost for units so factions spawns hell for Victory

Haven't heard of Dawn of Victory, eh?
Maybe they will get done first and make it work with the AI.
I think the races sound a bit closer to Maelstrom personally.
Yeah we have heard of it and are waiting for it aswell but in the meantime why not make something new
It does a bit but from what i recall Maelstrom has Traders, aliens and repilicators
Also here is a quick lil update Some of the Terrans Units and starbase so enjoy and hope you guys like!!!
Nice models.
Thanks we will be posting soon the starbases for the UA and Synthetics along with some units!
2 more Humanitarian Alliance units!
The Light Carrier
Missile Frigate
And here are the Starbases
UA
And Synthetics
Great job. Nice, simple, clean and original. You guys making those yourselves?
Yes we did.
Currently i am in charge of making the Humanitarian fleet as well as the starbases for all 3 factions
Beezle_x3 is the Mod leader
we have 2 more modelers who are making the UA and Synthetics fleet
and kcirtap42593 is helping us with the entity files
Kind of backwards that you have a team of modelers without any coding guys. Usually its a bunch of guys who think they are good with making game files that can't get any modelers.
Unfortunately you'll find the skinning part is what's really going to hold you back. To do a good job with texturing you need some specialized software, none of it free. You can do it by hand in XSI, but it is a big pain, even a little low poly probe thing Sinperium made me took a day or two to do. Granted with practice I could probably do that faster but manually making UV maps isn't fun no matter how you look at it.
knowing how to texture and knowing how to texture well are two different things.
you have a challenge ahead of you to get that many objects textured.
Just look at all the mods that seem to stall around texturing on moddb from the vaunted Dawn of Victory to new ones like Mass Effect or many of the other mods that haven't been released. Basically the amount of people that can model on an amateur basis far exceeds the number of people that texture on an amateur level.
I wish you luck though as your mod sounds interesting and the models look very good. I suspect this mod if you stick with it will be in development for many years.
The models are great. Modding Sins has a long slow learning curve--mostly by trial and error. For every rule there are multiple exceptions. Curse those exceptions!
Just relax and plug away at it.
...and never give Zombies karma--only me.
Then what should we do? I mean for those of us that want this mod to be mod only have skills in modeling Should we advertise more or like collaborate with other mods to get our own done sooner?
One untapped modding area is the Steam players and Steam forums. There is less experince there and the forums are pretty sparse but new modders are bound to pop up there and it may be a great place to start something from scratch like this. Some people just want to be part of an effort and will join in. Might be worth a chance.
Any mod that succeeds will have to be a self effort. You may release a minimod easily--one that just changes a few things--but it will take a lot of time and patience to do a big mod--and especially any sort of total conversion.
The way to get other modder's help is to help other modders. Give models away, answer questions on entities when they are posted--or jump in the conversations and participate. Play and get on teamspeak and start developing friendships with other players.
I work myself and in the past four months, I offered to help a few modders in a very narrow way and as soon as I did got sent a list of things that if I had done them (and I don't have the time or even the knowledge to fully do them) I would have basically been creating their mod for them.
This is why most experienced modders seem close mouthed or non-committal when help is asked for. The other reason is about 90% of the "newest bestest ever" mod efforts get abandoned when the players who think them up realize it's going to be a LOT of work.
Most modders here are self taught and very few of them know how to mod every aspect of the game...meaning most modders would be hard pressed to do a real total conversion themselves. So when you aks them to help with everything, you're asking them to learn everything for you so they can do your mod. They are in the same boat already--trying to learn for themselves.
Your models are a great start. You really should start with texturing. If you can learn to use the Softimage Mod tool and make Sins textures for your models there, you will have something to offer other modders. Many need texture helkp and would gladly swap abilities and the like for it.
Get to know people, show in your topic what is unique and exciting about your mod and get to know people here. Gradually, as you get skills and show you aren't leaving people will bit by bit offer advice and the like.
Also, download, play through and look at other mods you like for ideas. Be sure to ask their creators for permission for anything you want to use yourself.

I hope this is a little helpful. If you have a team of friends already in RL, that is the best place to start--help each other as you learn.
Well most of us do play a bunch of mods and yes we do plan on aiding other mods so that we can get helps aswell in any case will anyone wanna help us?
p.s thanks for those link
YW. Once you get pas the frustration of figuring out the basics it become much more doable. Some abilities don't work together certain ways and some conditions don't work with others, etc. Takes awhile to figure them out (heck, I haven't figured them out)
Start with abilities patterned after existing ones. Then try combining them and exchanging bools and actions.
Best way to start.
Post specific problems when you have specific questions--best way to get an answer. It helps a lot if others can see you have actually worked at it yourself before you ask someone else to.
Search the forums for info too. It's buried all over.
Harpo's and Zombie's stuff is really helpful.
Well for now most of us are being busy with personal life issues however we rather stick with helping other mods in order to get help aswell in ours.
Synthetics fleet made by Beezle_x3 and Fluxor from Moddb.com
I really like the simple consistency of your models. They fit together really nicely.
Thanks were trying to be as original as possible!
