Yay!! Achievements will be fixed!!! They are like pokemon. Gotta get them all
It's obvious they aren't as important as balancing and game fixes, but they are visible from shop, so it would be good, if possible buyer doesn't see that something is not working, even though they are only an addition. But even minor issues should be fixed sooner or later.It doesn't matter, if you like them or not. I wouldn't be surprised if they often allow to sell more game copies, because people expect to have them in game. Otherwise they wouldn't have been added to so many games. I think that if they were added, there is nothing wrong in getting them, if someone likes this kind of challenge and is doing them for fun (isn't this what games suppose to be?). If you don't like them, then don't care about them, but don't criticize someone who dare to have different (including neutral) opinion.
Seems a bit harsh. If there was an achievement for beating a Vicious AI with nothing but colony ships I'd say let the guy brag. Also some games like Minecraft set up some of their achievements to act as a sort of tutorial, and in more open sandbox type games getting the achievements can be a big help in getting more goal oriented players to enjoy it.
Accomplishing achievements isn't about bragging...it's about doing things you'd never do otherwise...
I highly doubt I'd ever go out of my way to do 30 of the stupid little AI missions without there being an achievment...but, because there's an achievement, you know what, why the hell not do it for once?
So I start a 10 player ffa with 9 hards or unfairs, turn pirates on, and focus on trying to get as many missions done no matter how inconvenient they might be...I wouldn't want to do it all the time, but it certainly is different from the standard play...kind of sucks when an achievement gets you to try something, but then you don't even get the achievement...
Hey Yarlen.... are there any immediate plans to fix up the new Galaxy Forge and have some instructions on how to use it? The triggers are really confusing... dont understand how to use them at all.

Does that include using the Vasari's ability to build starbases from their colony ships, or is it just colony ships only?
Well building a starbase would give you something besides a colony ship, so no it wouldn't even if it were a real achievement.
Good point. But what about construction frigates? What do you do with those?
So, when is patch 1.04 coming out? So we can see the big updates and fixes!
I would also like to know when the new maps for Rebellion are coming. Will they be included in patch 1.04 or will they come as their own patch later?
The 1.04 update is entering QA testing later this week, so things are progressing with it. We're including 5 maps that we feel are ready for prime time with 1.04 and are working on a number of others for a future update.

I keep getting mini-dump errors while playing TEC loyalists. It happens on my tower computer (which blows the requirements for this game out of the water) and my laptop (which meets and slightly exceeds some requirements). I didn't notice it on the Vasari Rebels, only TEC loyalists. No mods on the laptop, and only a slight radar range increase for scout ships on my tower. Hopefully this is on the agenda for 1.04?
The devs have said that they have found and corrected a major CTD/MD bug for 1.04.
