I tested every race and got no crashes, All the research is removed too, However for TEC Loyalist, the Research "Novalith Deregulation" (tier 5 combat) is still there.... i tried everything i could think of and the bastard still shows up on the research menu.
if any of you want to make me realize just how dumb i really am please show me what i forgot, and help me get rid of that persistent research.
Easiest way to remove them is just to remove the research for them.
hehe if i knew how to do that i would, as i said i tried many ways the first time... trying to remove any and all references to the cannons .. but got non stop minidumps.
are you saying this is not the best way to do it? or that i just did it a hard way. I really have no idea waht im doing in only started modding a few hours ago.
He meant remove the research reference from the player.entity file. Just like you did with the orbital cannon from the tactical structures section, but slightly below that there is a research section. So remove things like "RESEARCHSUBJECT_PLANETMODULEACCESS_CANNONTECH_LOYALIST" and their won't be a useless research in the tree anymore.

Well, that's the main things then. You could remove all the entities from the entity.manifest files so the game won't even load them, but thats very minor and you shouldn't have many problems with the AI.
yea, when i did that ,thats when i started having minidumps, unfortunately the debug log never showed me what the error was.

Do all mods need to be updated for different versions of Rebellion?
yea it should be simple enogh for me to keep it updated,. as for if it has to be for each version, im not sure, but i would assume its best to double check.

I haven't played the game for a while, but does the Trivial Options Mod (https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/429281) still work with Rebellion v1.1? I took a look at the player.entity files in v1.1, they do not seem to have changed from the last version.
Guys i believe i have it properly updated for 1.52
I have just checked this out. You only need to include the files you have changed; the others are not necessary and can be removed.
yea, i had noticed that a short time after i made the update, but its such a small file anyways that i found it not to be a high priority. (been a while since i fooled with sins mods)
next patch ill redo it.
edit: i went ahead and fixed it real fast, i believe its all right, but i am really busy and didn't have time to double check all the files.
