A couple years back I remember playing a FTP. I highly doubt stardock has made or published many, so hopefully a brief description will be good enough for someone to know what i'm talking about
There we're different ports in galaxies where you could buy equipment (among other things) for your colonies. You could also get NPC missions, one of the most common I believe was taxi driving.
it was a free to play, but you could buy extra credits
