1. The victory screen after a fight which ended with taming a beast shows as opponent the enemy of a previously won fight.
2. Winning a fight with taming a beast and having no free army slots leaves the tamed beast as "ghost" on the map (full hp, but it vanishes when moving the army on its space)
3. Winning a fight with taming a beast resurrects fallen troops; ie if i loose a secondary champion to a spider and tame the spider afterwards the champion is present in the army after the fight with the hp it had before the fight (works even if you loose all troops but the tamer).
Savegame here, just before the fight for easy reproducing.
Tame also heals all injured survivors of the battle.
I've found this also. Even if you injure the beast to be tamed, it switches sides to full health.
Basically, a Tamer Hero needs lots of hp. You run a turn, click on the Tame Button, tank the Beast until ready, tame it, done. Beast full health, Hero full health. Running around with half a dozen stalkers, 4 big bears, some widows and of course that big bad widow thing after around 40 turns kinda feels like cheating.
I was running around with 2x Umberdroths (was Tarth, so I wanted my army to stay 3 or less)
i think this is normal. the tamed animal cannot fit in your stack so it wont auto join and it ends up in its own stack (of one). in the case where you move your stack on to it, all you've done is moved your champ stack on top of another. you can cycle through all the elements on a tile by left clicking.
I had tamed a big spider which had a 'Daze' ability, that never worked when I used it.
