Only on the outside on the inside as in if your working on them they are totally different, that however is slowly changing.

Not to be nitpicky, but you are only moving thing around the screen, not zooming them.  As a result, the ships just look as if they are orpibiting the camera.

Way love the Vasari artwork above. Any chance for some TEC love in similar situations? (Say a Volcanic planet ... or being sucked out into space from Sinperium's 'broken' Kol?)
