First of all I'd like to say the new music is awesome, you did a great job on this guys.
Secondly I'd like to complain about how some tracks seem to have low priority. Awesome tracks like TEC 4.ogg will never play more then a few seconds unless I keep being zoomed in on the battle. Because I like to play the game while having view over the entire solar system I'm cursed with the fate of only hearing Quiet x.ogg and Sad x.ogg. And I'm fed up with hearing those.
My top 3 favorite tracks:
#3. TEC Rebels - Keep the Lanes Open.ogg (really upbeat, makes me wanna kick some xeno ass)
#2. TEC 4.ogg (It's quite unique, I must say I was surprised the first time I heard it but I fell in love with it.)
#1 TEC Rebels - To the Victor.ogg (one word, epic. It's too bad I never get to listen to the whole song in game)
It wouldn't be too hard to change which music files play when, if you are willing to mod a few game files. But you are right that you often hear the same music for long periods of time. I haveen't played all of those files but thanks for pointing me at them. I will listen to them all individually very soon!
My favourite is the trailer one ^^. I would really like to see this music in game.
How do you play these files?
I used the Ogg Codecs for Windows from http://xiph.org/downloads - just use Windows Media Player as you would with an mp3 etc.

1) Advent Quiet 2: great music to unwind at the end of the day.
2) Battle 1.ogg: classic battle anthem, I can just imagine some mighty fleet engagement.
3) Trouble 7.ogg: requiem style, envisions the aftermath of a Vasari raid.
I think that Vasari had the best original anthem, although I think they could have upped the tempo a bit.
From Rebellion, I would say the Vasari & Advent Rebels have some really good tracks.
Halos has a good point though, a lot of the new music (eg new TEC ones) I've not actually heard in game.
It would be nice if the first track that was played was one of your faction's anthems - just to add some context.
The "nnnn Quiet n.ogg" tracks are good, but can get a bit generic, especially now that each race has split.

I'm growing fond of the Vasari Theme, it's melancholy but still has a majestic feel to it. It feels quite fitting for the Vasari...
The new (and old) TEC songs have a feeling of confidence to them, sort of like they say "Victory WILL be ours!"
Advent doesn't really speak to me at all... Filthy witches.
I do think vasari has the best soundtrack overall. 'Vasari Rebels - History in the Making.ogg' would be #4 on my list.
