The rating is actually caused by them having a spitfire ability which adds +100 combatrating. An unreasonable amount, because it gets transferred straight to experience if you defeat them. In the next version, the spitfire ability will give them 12 extra combat rating, and their damage has been reduced from 10+2per level to 6+2 per level.
Look forward to meeting the new fearies then!
First off, Heavenfall, fantastic work. This mod increases my enjoyment of the game tenfold, which brings Fallen Enchantress from the "Good" into the "Excellent" category. Kudos.
I have one question and one bug to report:
Question: How do I disable all the "original" champions? Since I play with the original factions off it just feels weird to have them in game, the new ones are more fun.
Bug: The demon shrills in my game look like a demonshrill base with a fireshrill on top of them, and no head. They don't look like that in your pictures...
For the question, go to Stormworld_ExpandedFactions_Champions\ and change all their <NPCSpawnLikelihood>XXX</NPCSpawnLikelihood> to something higher, maybe 3000.
For the bug, please search your /mods/ folder for all files that contain this text "Scorpion_mount2" and post back with the filenames.
Thanks for the quick answer. How do I search all the files in the mod folder for a specific text string?
edit: AS far as I can tell, there are only three files with that line, two in the champions folder (which maybe should be only one?): 7demonshrill_tiuzon and 5demonshrill_tiuzon, and one in the quest folder: monsterlair_demonshrill

Could be, I've updated the mod several times so I might have forgotten. I'll reinstall and see what happens. Thanks for your quick help, and once again, thanks for this extraordinary mod. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

I dived into your mod and I really like it. It shows that you tried to balance a lot of things with minute attention to details, I really appreciate that. I also appreciate that some monsters or abilities are powerful, but you did not go the easy way of adding pack of 9 dragons and suchlike. Subtlety and elegance would be a good description of your mod.
Lore also is really well written, again with attention to details. Also great is that you even added icons that are only there to warn and help players. Last point, races are very diverse. Kudos!
I played the Gnomes, and died from a lizardman invasion on turn 89, must be because I set them at ridiculous level Some remarks if you allow, mostly on gnomes.
They have a spearman design with crystal, is not dangerous for the AI (preventing it to build them if no crystal around?)
All city battles show a forest of dead trees, but not buildings in gnome towns. Cosmetic? Not only, because in my last big battle where I make a last stand with 11 total units, my sovereign was stuck in a tree and could not move out of it.
My initial hero was the Gnomish hero that was dishonored. -1 prestige is really tough at start... perhaps -0.5 would be enough. That or at level 5 his ability disappears if this is possible (he stopped at level 4)
Two suggestions that you may find thematic to the Gnomes perhaps:
Perhaps they can have normal move cost in hills.
I would love to have them get a 1% return on interest on gold stockpiled, that would be so Gnomish while not that powerful.
I also encountered the Dead Legion. They are demons if I get it right. So questions...
1. Why they color is bright yellow and not something red or purple, whatever?
2. They have a unit template named spear maiden... Not quite in theme I would say. Perhaps you did not had time to propose custom units per race, but I think that would be a major feature that would give much flavor to your mod.
Thanks for your hard work. I'll restart a game with a more moderate setting now, perhaps AI expert will be enough.

I'll also probably replace their ZOC color by their UnitClothing1Color which seems much more appropriate.
shadows also have a crystal consuming spearman, I had to design my own spearmen in games without crystal available. not sure how the AI deals with it
I noticed the siege thing last game. I'm trying to figure out how to work around it (it is caused by Elves and Gnomes having special defensive walls).
The AI has many more designs that you cannot see, including crystal-free spearmen.
I thought about giving Gnomes a movement bonus in hills but they are supposed to be the uber defensive faction. I don't want to give them mobility. Besides, it fits better for frost giants. I really like the idea with 1% gildar per turn. I'll see if it works and then I'll add it if it does.
For the Death Legion:
1. I'm running out of colours! But maybe I should switch centaurs with theirs.
2. Noted, but I probably won't change it. There are hundreds of unit designs and I don't have the patience to alter them all.
The <PopulaceName> is un-used as far as I know (or did you see a problem in-game?).
Found the siege problem. It's because gnomes (and frost giants) were using a special environment. I'll change them back to the boring kingdom/empire next version.

re: Populace, not seen in game, I was just mentioning it for consistency purpose, as for the Elves, populace is correctly named, so I wondered.
For colors, I think you can take inspiration from the numerous factions colors of Fall from Heaven
just tried downloading the "L" from that nex site that you are using, and after a half hour of attempts to register Iwas finally allowed to get to the download pagea and allowed to click on the links, BUT whichever server I click on all I get is a blank page and the url was 'http://fs4.nexusmods.com/Libs/Common/Managers/Downloads?Download&nid=166&fid=46' and this is in firefox 17 with NO download managers and the manual selection.
any chance of communicating with the site to get them to fix this?
and I also was not able to get MY usual handle, but had to use a mutation of it.

Hi your mod is fantastic! I'm having a graphics issue with it though. Most of the modded unit graphics aren't showing up. They're just invisible bodies with weapons/armor. I'm able to see the Greenskins, Elves, Frost Giants, Living Stone, Lizardmen, Gnomes and the Undead, but not the other new factions, or most in game enemies. Honestly this sounds like a problem with my computer's ability to run the mod, but I'm hoping its another issue so I don't miss out.

Try running the game as administrator. Try re-installing the mod, male sure to follow instructions.
Had to run it as admin. It's a bit trickier with steam. Thanks again, everything seems to be working now.

is it indended for faeries to leave their lairs unprotected? also they probably still spawn too close to starting locations for a "strong" monster, I had them about 5 tiles away on a medium sized map ( or was it large? can't remember )
