Hi HF - here's a typo with "causd". I'm not sure if it's your mod or in vanilla.
Not mine, although it is possible that it only appears with custom factions. The 8 vanilla factions have custom strings for a lot of things.
Hi HF - quick question. Did you do any moddingto influence whether an AI surrenders? In my current 0.982 game the top faction suddenly decided to surrender (I was at war) but it didn't make any sense. I've had some smaller ones surrender I was smacking around but the faction power of this guy was like 100 higher than mine. Just wondering whether I should tell Brad to look at that.
Well, no, you shouldn't report bugs in a modded game.
I haven't altered any of that stuff knowingly, but that doesn't mean I messed up something unintentionally. Maybe they just got unlucky and had a nasty event fry their army or something.
I'm having second thoughts about Affinity for items. Due to the random nature of traits, I feel they would either be
1) overpowered when I get them, unbalancing the game, or
2) useless when I get them, making the player feel as if he was robbed of a proper choice of traits
There's no real way to hit that sweet spot of balance in between those extremes.

Frost Giants and Undead are very challenging to face in big maps. The rest are fairly balanced.
I can second the Frost Giants. Just had an epic game with them in 0982. Hella challenging early and mid game but mopped the floor with faction AI end game (their units have overpower).

BTW I really like the interaction of various items... like how the infinite HP potion would interact with the immortal trait, etc.

Great mod, may I suggest that greenskin units can loot? This would be done by giving them a set percentage after each won battle that they would get random part of their body upgraded in terms of armor or weapons.
Speaking of Greenskins: Why are they genderless? Are they pulled out of the earth?
Yes, literally... it says so in their description. They work a little like the orks from 40k... skin flakes take root and form a "plant" like stage that eventually grows into an orc or goblin assuming it doesn't get eaten by another orc, goblin, or wild animals.

I stumbled on a Goblin champion and wondered why.
I've never been a fan of the Tolkien view of Orcs as an animated (or cell-splitting, as in Warhammer) race, myself. I seem to have gotten used to them (and Goblins) being a primitive, but mammal race.
Cell splitting is much scarier. The only way to get rid of them is to glass the whole planet.
And removing sex as a biological consideration makes them more focused on slaughtering everything else.
They were more brutish but Titans merged Greenskin with Men to create the Fallen. The Greenskin were then exterminated (successfully). During the Cataclysm, the magical energies cause some Fallen to revert to their Greenskin nature, but they still had a part of them human. That's why they aren't 3 meters tall, why they aren't really stupid, and why they can use magic now.
...yet
The Greenskin are basically based on violence, which means their "society" usually devolves into an endless squabble to be the strongest through physical means (when they're not fighting themselves they're fighting others). This creates a predictable pattern where they evolve in a single direction. However, this ordinary pattern has been de-railed by the fact that some of them can now use magic. That means physical strength and violence aren't the two determining factors anymore. Unlike more civilized cultures, the greenskin mages have no qualms about using their strange abilities to benefit themselves and roast a few competitors along the way.
So basically, at this point in time, there is a struggle going on within the Greenskin. Are the mages going to hold on to power, continuing to evolve their powers, or is there going to be a physical freak development that can counter the magical abilities and restore the Greenskin to their former, magic-less selves?
What about muscle mages who channel their magic inwards to boost their physique and provide healing rather than casting traditional spells?

I hate that level-up screen. It's the only place in the whole game where you can see a stupid shortened version of the trait descriptions. GRRR.
The problem is I didn't put all the race-specific stuff in the stupid bloodline trait. Why would I? There's no reason to have 20 gamemodifiers in each bloodline when I can just put them as normal unitstats in the unittype instead.
I am trying to imagine your sweet skelly heroes and my awesome path mod. It would be like the bastard child of Darkseid and Galactus.
