Amplitude Studios, a new games development company based in Paris is developing a new space strategy game called "Endless Space"
Aiming to inherit the values of: Master of Orion, Civilization and to some extent Total War all of that with a strong focus on Multiplayer.
Looks promising & certainly worth checking out.
Good game!
It is looking interesting. I am feeling happy that many new space games are on the way. Kickstarter is a good source of information. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1760753044/star-quest-2-united-galaxies-space-sim-rts-racing
excellent game..
I have a -50% coupon for Endless Space on Steam if anyone is interested. Send me a PM. Will edit this post if it is used.
I'm been interested in a new 4x space stradegy game. I will take the coupon my email is michaelwhittaker71@yahoo.com. I've been searching the thelves since 2007. Sins of a solar empire was a little disappointing. It lacked depth.II'm Ok with a nice looking combat screen that really I can't control. I do have a few quistions.
1. How big is the map is compared to an imense map on Galactic civilizations ultimate.
2. This sounds a little disappointing 12 races. I would like to see something like 65.
3. About 4 tech trees does that mean that we research 4 tech trees at a time.
4. Can you compare endless space to Galactic civilizations ultimate.
I think if you are going to keep complaining about rock paper sicers it would help to suggest a solution to this problem. There was a lot of negative feedback until I found this site. I want to buy the game now. Once I learn the game I will be interested in playing multiplayer. Can you tell me what is the best beginning faction to start playing, and give you give me a good beginning stradegy to start playing.
One thing which is better the Gold edition or the expansion pack. Does the expansion pack include the Gold edition. I couldn't find the coupon did I not get it, or where do I find it.
Re: #1...the largest universe size isn't that big, but it's very easy to mod it to be any size you want. I don't have the link to the instructions on me now, but I can post it later.
What's your steam name?
So you already have it?
My steam name is michaelwhittaker71. It took me a little bit, but now its working. Besides sending me a coupon can you also tell me how to aces it.
When I've traded you the coupon you just add the game to your cart and it subtracts the 50% from it.
Ok how do I know that you traded it to me.
You need to be online on steam, accept my friends invitation and then open a trade with me when I am online.
I'd be interested in this mod as well. I've only played the Disharmony expansion. So far, all I've done is to configure my custom Sophos (sp?) race. Still on my first game with them, being a noob and all.
I'm playing on the largest map now, but it seems rather small compared to GalCiv2.
BTW...The more I play Endless Space, the more I like it.
Sophons.
Kinda envious a bit - studying something new for the first time.
Well, let it stay that way.
This is the method I use:
http://forums.amplitude-studios.com/showthread.php?7936-larger-maps-possible&highlight=larger+galaxies
It works well, but if you create a really large galaxy, it can take 15 minutes or so to generate, but it only does this the first time. After you save and restart, it doesn't take a long time again.
Sounds interesting. The first time it came out, I was scared of by negative reviews. From what I read here the game sounds very good. Any more coupons?
You sure you wouldn't be scared by bad reviews again?
No promises there....
My coupon above hasn't been claimed, check again on wednesday and if it's not claimed then you can have it.
I also have -50% endless space and -50% disharmony that I am happy to give away; if anyone is interested, ping me your steam name.
Sorry I've only been on steam for a few days misunderstood what you said bought the game for full price. Unless I could get money back with the coupon now you mise as well give the coupon to someone else. Wish I could change it now.
Ok, one coupon for 50% of endless space up for grabs. Send me a PM with your steam name if you want the game.
Yes, its a fine game. Has its pros and cons. I play it quite a bit. When I'm into sci-fi, its 2/3 Distant Worlds, and 1/3 Endless Space. Your experience? I'm anticipating GalCiv3
