Ok, that's it with the mystery.
What happened to myfist0?
What was his fight about?
Why does he replace all of his hard work with "Goodbye"?
Why isn't he helping the Stardock community anymore?
Why did he destroy soase.weebly.com?
Answers?
He helped ppl mod!
After dusting some of my old archive, i have found the more old sins mod that i have... work was started the 10/06/2007 ( v0.01 ) and the last release that i have is dated from the 19/10/2007 ( 0.05 ) ... so, it was a mod made BEFORE sins was released... the mod was called "kin of the stars" ... at the time, it was offering features who will only appear in later version/expansion or who have not yet appear... a sample of some features :
- Colony ships can now launch troop transports to attempt to capture an enemy world without exterminating the population.- Capital ship missiles can be shot down by point defenses.- Capital ship missile ammunition limited by antimatter. Supply ships replenish the antimatter of friendly ships. - Heavy mobile space mine
out-of-topic : take a look at the file "credits_rebellion.txt" located at ".../Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/sins of a solar empire rebellion" ... Are you the Jim "Major Stress" Morgan listed there? Hope so... it is a cute reward for your TSOP work who was partially included in the actual game... as now, Rebellion is the less memory hungry version... around 1gb memory used with 10 player, huge multistar map after over 15 hours of play...
Don't know what happened too and i don't care... any fight is a stupid thing and soon or late, the war hatched will be buried again in the ground... sure he is a very useful guy but i find childish that he shutdown his site... he don't punish the guy with who he have fight but all modders who have use his site... pity that i have not see it coming, i will have make a offline backup with HTTrack...
I'm actually fairly sure that Major Stress was one of the originals who tested the original BETA and as such was included in the original credits...

may they rest in peace
Yes, I am the "Jim "Major Stress" Morgan" listed there. My name is on the credits because of Original Sins testing.
Was working on SoA 2 long before Original Sins was released. Would have got much more done sooner, but importing models at the time of Original Sins release was "problematic", but once the forge tool set was out bam! SoA 2 was in business.
Myfist0 was as much involved with TSOP as Myself, and SivCorp was. If not more involved. He is the one that found most of the errors in the entrenchment/diplomacy entity manifest, and galaxy def files. He saw what we didnt see. Plus he was involved with SoA 2 on the new user interface. Plus his contributions to the modding community in general. So of course i am saddened, and upset over the circumstances over his sudden departure. However it was his decision to leave, and take everything he did with him. Not the way i would have handled it, but i am not Myfist0. I would have just had another "Major Stress Meltdown", and been reading out the riot act to those that deserve it.
Heh...I'm just glad he didn't own any real life nuclear weapons.
FYI...
Major Stress started TSOP when a lot of old player from the original were quitting due to desyncs and imbalances that caused play problems--and posting, "I'm quitting and you should too" threads.
He kept promoting the game and working to make it play better and never trash talked about anything or anyone. I used to come and read some of the ridiculously regular posts and think, "Carp! These guys are draggin' the whole game down."...then you'd see the Major's "I refuse to surrender" TSOP thread and go, Yay!".
He da #1 man...all others are the #2 man.
Thanks Major.
...now do my mod for me.
only after you do HIS mods for HIM.
and as far as the water issue it is more a DIS-trust of it than hate on MY part.
harpo
In memory of "myfist0" I will make a post in a bad thread.
Done and done.
Never quit. Never surrender.
Here's to ya Myfist0
Remember Sins101! Oh wait...
Sinperium is so funny, I like it!
Sorry for posting it here...
Myfist0 was of great help to me and my mod. Normally I stay out of internal drama, but you were a huge value to this community and was looking forward to your help with rebellion mods. So as majorstress put heres to you old friend
Hai
To a great modder.
crap! I forgot beers!
3, on the house
May the force be with Myfist0... So then I'm assuming we won't be seeing any of his homeworld 2 ships in sins?
I got word from Myfist0. He is NOT done with sins modding. Just the forum drama, and he has an issue with steam. I can relate to that. So hes not "gone". Ill just say hes on hiatus.
Can't blame the man for dodging trolls, or flaming posters.
Cheers to a man who is smart enough to stand down, even when he believes he's right.

He is pretty smart not getting into the forum drama.
Just so we’re clear, you’re all celebrating the guy who got into an argument with some mod over who gives a shit and then deleted all his work in a tantrum. Do you want to know what forum drama looks like? Go here: http://soase.weebly.com/
That’s the work of someone looking for attention who apparently cares about these shitty forums more than he does modding. Good riddance.
And I’m sorry; it takes more than a guide how to import models and textures into Sins to make a mod. Too many people treat guides like that as the first and last thing you need, I’m tired of seeing all these “total conversions” where the only difference between them is the shape of the meshes and who’s standing to the left of the artwork in the loading screens.
Of all the mods I’ve tried out, only one (which was promptly ignored by everyone when it was released) fundamentally changed how the game was played, and forced us at DoV to reevaluate nearly everything about our own mod for fear of being stale in comparison. I don’t know why we bothered though as it seems creating bland, stale, and redundant projects is the guiding mantra behind this embarrassment of a community.
seacrest out
So... it's that time of month, huh?
Change your name maybe?
I'd recommend "Swissman" or "DanSwiss" so would make it easier to get where you're coming from right off the bat.
That or "Midol".
Sure, your DoV mod look good but it lack a major feature that plenty of other mod have : being released...
Very funny to have the author of some vaporware who critic work already released by other... let the player decide what mod is good or bad...
so... just so I understand clearly.
To stay relevant on a forum I claim I don't care about I should make fun of mods that don't rename credits to population, metal to materials, crystal to doctrine points, remove trade ports, rename refineries to depots, move stuff around on menus so it looks different, modify entries in gameplay constants and claim best balance and replace meshes and textures with something different.
Your stuff looks good and I'm sure a lot of people are looking forward to it, but it still sounds like modding to me. Get back to us when you create your own game engine if you wish to profess such a grand achievement over what others have done modding this game.
I sense a disturbance in the farce.
