They don't look particularly cool or interesting, more like a floating vagina/womb in space minus the ovaries. Advent aren't related to the anime series Gundam Wing. So, if that ugly vaguely humanoid design is anything other then early drafts of the advent titan there will be a bored sigh following rebellions release. A cool looking flying saucer/oldschool cylon base star mix would look about 100 times better then anything the developers have shown us regarding advent titans. A sphere with glowing hull lines would also similarly keep my interest as the other advent titan. Hopefully they will just change the designs, but I figure it to be too late.
But its all moot anyways right? the TEC will just be able to turtle forever, the vasari will be able to relocate wherever they darn well feel like it having no empire weaknesses, and the advent might be able to take over a planet...whatever that means. Advent titan should have a blanket "mind control" ability that would over time mind control ANYTHING. By anything i mean planets, titans, starbases, anything. As the titan levels up it increases the amount of things that it can keep mind controlled. This would be through the use of culture, which the titan would also emit. This would be a fun way to play advent end game, and really give those advent super "weapons" a really nice combo so that they might actually be built for combat, instead of lols. It wouldn't be overpowered, as the other races have very strong abilities as well. I like the idea of this ability as I have outlined it, because it means that no matter the situation, the advent titan will ALWAYS strike fear into your opponents heart, even if it looks like a vagina/womb.

There is nothing wrong with the theme of the Advent titans. As you say, both are quite obviously based around their Unity beliefs. I actually like the halo-ish aspect of the Loyalists and the winged aspect of the Rebels. But having a disc/halo thing on their winged Rebel ship just seems excessive to me, and makes the disc-concept less special overall.
Compare to the TEC ships.
The TEC ships are obviously themed around one having huge armored shields (Loyalists) on the sides and the other being a giant cannon (Rebels). But imagine if instead one had giant armored shields and the other had both a huge cannon and armored shields. It would make the shielding look more commonplace and lose some of the uniqueness. That is the sort of feeling I get from both Advent titans having huge vertical halo/disc elements.
As an avid Advent player, I'm actually not too fond of the (Loyalist?) Advent titan. The one with the halo-like thingy on top. IMHO, it looks a bit too simplistic and half-assed. Although the Rebel one is spot on. (Aside from the floaty thingy at the top which kind of just looks like a Euro coin floating above the ship, but it's not such a huge deal.)
Im not a fan of the advent titans myself, i like out of the box stuff but there just too weird....
What is with the floating coin on top of the rebel advent titan ? and the over all design of it looks weird kinda like a flying bird thing ud see in a transformers movie ( thats just how i see ) im not sure what other peoples opinions are.
The loyalist one is just simple but also kinda weird.
I like advent ship deigns for being a little out of the box but the titans are just to far out there, and dont make much sense to me, thats just my 2 cents
Rebel one looks like some sort of death angel thing to me, which fits fine with the Advent! But I too think the disc is a bit much. It should be at least smaller than it is now, maybe half the size.
I really like the Advent titans. I think they look amazing and unique.
I think both advent titans look good. The pissed off looking loyalist Iron Maiden and the flinging-herself-desperately-foward Joan-of-Arc rebel titan are neat take offs on their factions enforcement vs sacrifice ethos.
And that medallion above the Eradica? You need to find your answer in Star Trek lore. Thats the captain's yacht.
