If you are good with this set up then write back.
P.S. I've been trying to understand all the stuff involved in Diplomacy so if you don't mind teaching me what's what that would be appreciated.
A 2v1 comp stomp? Lol?
It's more annoying than it's worth, at least for me. I just turn on Locked Teams and ignore the ridiculously dumb "missions" and I'm fine.
If I'm playing against the AI, that is. Online against other humans (which I highly recommend) we almost never have to bother with the effects of diplomacy.
What about 'If you are good with this set up then write back.' do you not understand?
I'll do a comp stomp with you. I'm not a good MPer but I'm reasonably assured of my abilities for a comp stomp. Just PM me for a time that's good for you.
Dont mind those players. Just go online and label is comp stomp. Lots of newer players these days.
What's really pathetic is that there are lots of comp stompers who have been playing for several months or even years who are terrified of trying out a real game. They generally won't talk to or interact with other people in the Lobby and just wait for their comp stomping buddies to come along. It's understandable that groups of guys who just pulled the game out of the box might want to comp stomp, but not for people who've been playing consistently for two or three years; that's just pathetic.
Pathetic is assuming people are pathetic for not wanting to play against assholes that think they're pathetic.
Your post is a prime example of why they don't. Not everyone is competitive, and not everyone finds the AI boring. Comp stompers that come into the online community are just looking for a social element, talking to a computer AI doesn't typically do much for them.
Sanchez, you can offer up an invite and some encouragement to have people take you up on it, but keep in mind that people want what they want, whatever it is. Sometimes it's what you like and sometimes not.
I've played some amazing comp stomps and made some decent online friends out of it. I've learned more about the game playing this way than I had in months of playing the usual narcissist's who, all too often, one will find preying on the newbie. This game is great when used as a social event. Which I believe games to be primarily.
Anyone knows what version is with the virtuska imperial lab on?
My biggest problem playing muti-player is, wait for it..... TIME!
When I played mulit I didn't mind getting beheaded. And I learned a lot. But the big problem is time. I have kids. Who don't wait to pee, eat, read me a story and my favorite "She keeps spitting on me!" These all require near instant response times. So rather than get all crazy with them when I play anything, unless they are asleep (and I have pulled all nighters and really felt stupid the next day dragging my sorry butt around just wishing I wasn't so stupid) I only play games I can pause or just quit.
Other than that I assume performance anxiety is a big problem. You don't mind when a cpu makes you look stupid in secret all alone in your fortress of solitude but in front of other people it gives one pause.
You know how on Battlenet so many knuckleheads just want to six pool, canon rush or bunker rush? Is there an equivalent in Sins? I don't know. But if there is stop it. Unless you're playing with friends you're just going to drive new players off the server.
So let's "lighten up" and enjoy each other and our time online. Older more experienced players slow your "little rascals" down and help the younger players. You may just make some friends (or find someone to help you up off the floor when you break a hip).
