Anyone have an idea, suggestion, or similar experience with the DXScript window not appearing when clicking on the "New" button correlating to the script function when you create a new object in DestTopX? I installed DestTopX and DeskTopX Pro and was going through David Roman's tutorial. At the scripting section, the DXScript window won't appear, though after hitting "New" the other buttons appropriately change to "Remove" and "Edit". The Remove button causes an appropriate reset but hitting the Edit button or the Apply button at the bottom causes DeskTopX Builder to shut down. Am running Windows 7 Ultimate and I wonder if this is some kind of conflict perhaps due to updates???
This is a basic DeskTopX function and I am not noting any other problems, just this isolated glitch. I keep tinkering, but so far no revelations. Any sphinx riddle solvers out there?
Okay, thanks.
We are still trying to track down a viable version of 3.5 Pro. The integration with Impulse and the removal of that code isn't as easy as it might be. It may never be availalbe.
Can we get that in english please....
Thanks Zub.
If it isn't available, would it be prudent to change the labeling on the download?
It says 3.5 but gives 4.0. Looks like that could be fixed?
So, if I sent you my 3.5 archive, it would be impossible to extract 3.5 from it?
Just asking.
Here's the thing: I know that DesktopX has been in limbo for a while- but the version number isn't as important as if the program works; and it appears that it's working right now and has some attention for if it doesn't work.
Zub, here's the thing. It says 3.5 and gives me 4.0.
4.0 does not work. It hasn't been getting attention.
However, the beta 3.96 does seem to work ok. But it is a beta. 3.5 is the last known fully working release version.
beta 3.96 will be 4.0 soon enough. Beta, full.. . Doesn't matter really. Use what works.
