Monday morning 8AM (Real world time)I'm having my gallbladder removed. It's been causeing me nothing but trouble the past years.

Nervous? Not the slightest. I'm actually looking forward to it!
The procedure is quite "simple". Can be done in one of two ways.
1. They poke 4 sticks through my belly, and cut it out that way - and I'll be released the same day. (For some serious pampering by my girlfriend)
2. They drag out the big chainsaw, slice my up and remove it the 'old style' way - 2-3 days recovering in hospital. (Fuck that.....)
I'll update my Facebook about the progress from Monday afternoon - when or if I wake up.

I'm so happy you survived your surgery and now that I know all is well I guess I'll be coming back in another 4 years to check in on you when they get ready to do an appendectomy on you next! j/k!

Yup, sure did. Still get it from time to time, but nowhere near as excruciatingly as before. In fact it's quite mild as to compared to before, and apparently I get to keep my gall bladder a while longer if I behave... dietarily speaking, that is.
Day #1 after surgery.... Still alive, but the shoulder pain is friggin killing me. >.<Painkillers only takes the top off the pain. Everytime I breath in I get a sharpe pain. Just like someone pokeing my shoulder within a stick - from the inside!Dang it smarts.
Other than that all's good. Had a surprisingly good nights sleep. (Purhaps because of not being alone...)

I tried to drag dutchy over here to come sign your get well card too but these days he's turned into a grumpy old man that never leaves his house. All he does now is sit in his chair allll day long w/ his cats and chases lilll kids off his lawn all day. (but you know where our house is)
He did however tell me I could come sign your card for him (but I'm not into forgery) so he sends his get well wishes to you as well...
Snowy, as a nurse I can tell you that distraction techniques are a great non-pharmacological form of pain relief. So take your mind off your pain by making something pretty for us!

Deven: 'Destraction techniques'? Well, I -could- suggest some of my own, but this is a "family" site...Some thin-skinned freaks might get insulted. But it doesn't include any skinning - if you catch my drift.
I quit active skinning some 5½ years ago. Ain't in hurry to get back either. Too many high-horse riders these days. Wouldn't wanna step on their turf, you know.

I -am- feeling better, but only as long as the painkillers do their job.
Had to sit up, in a chair, to get some sleep last night. That wasn't much fun....
