It doesn't really bother me that an AI or human can build several super weapons. I myself have built more than one Novalith cannon before (2 in my last campaign). I still want to suggest for Rebellion a pregame option that allows a limit to be set. I've seen other games do something like this. If disabled, the number of super weapons would be unlimited as it is now. If enabled, the player would specify how many can be created per empire.I would probably choose 4 on some games and leave it unlimited on others. I once played a game where an AI created a lot of them and while this didn't bug me a whole lot, part of me felt that an optional limitation might be nice.
wth is the dev.exe? lol...i don't even know
and im not much of a MP either, i used to play SupCom online and that game kinda fcked it up for me... enemies having an experimental within 8 mins when you have just reached tier 3
i've never played an online game on ICO cuz when i play online i want to have a big clash of ships, (however the ai always fails to get enough ships ) and in online play they always rush(don't know for certain if thats on ICO also, but im pretty certain) and i hate rushing. i love having battles lasting 2 hours or longer...
dev.exe is the developers executable that they give us to test our mods.
The problem is that the Sins AI is simply a very bad player. You only get an actual sense of the strategic depth Sins has to offer when you start playing against other humans.
Single player for the win! I never ever play multiplayer. Because I simply cannot play the way I want to against other people.
As for a super weapon cap I agree, I have had games where the AI spammed them, and holding onto a planet is tricky without the starbase enforced loyalty upgrade.
It's true that friends are best for a more laid back game. There is more strategy than just a rush, but it's not a slow or calm game.
RiddleKing, take it easy. I'm still very new to Sins as I haven't had time to play for the past month or two. I haven't even been able to check the forum until today. The concept of not giving the AI time to build many super weapons is something I'm working on.This option was just a thought and it appeals to some, but not others. That's why I suggested making it an option. If you don't like it then you don't touch it. I'm sorry you hate the idea, but that's fine. I'm doubtful it will even be implemented. I'm just trying to contribute more ideas to future development because I love the game and I'm trying to connect with the community. There are people who have helped me become a better player and they've patiently, humbly, and gracefully guided me. I understand you're trying to help me so thank you, but please cut me a little slack. Sorry, it's been a bad day so not in the best of moods.
Would never have guessed given how you and your pet tiger keep making silly faces.
Yeah, that does send a completely different message, doesn't it? On another note, your amusing comment got a smile so thanks.
It's easy to keep pet Tigers amused...they will do anything for a Tuna sandwich. To quote Hobbes "We are kind of stupid that way."
