Is there an estimated release date for rebellion? and why cant i find rebellion as a preorder via the impulse-client?

Thanks for the update Yarlen. I check here pretty much twice a day, yet lurk most the time. I'll be watching.
No doubt many bugs will be lurking...waiting to pounce on us all. The more time to debug, the less bugs there will be. I'd also imagine play testing things out is a big part of the time too. Seeing how the actual games go--and that has to be preceded by all the coding, and unit fixes and changes. It all takes time.
Just pretend like it's a new version of Windows and it's Microsoft's release date
I am putting my modding on pause waiting--me wants it now too.
Yeah, no doubt. They'll be a nice, extensive beta period for pre-order folk.

Thanks so much for trying to get some info out, this is exactly what I meant by updates. I, being a consumer can understand that you guys:
1) Want to release the game at an opportunistic time
2) Don't want to give too much away before the release
Just by trying to have some screens, or some back story, will assuage the populous who patiently wait, while not giving away too much. Even sketch art can work wonders at keeping your consumers in the loop and happy.
Also, I know that you have updates in many areas as someone else pointed out, but having it in one place, as you have stated is the best way to go, so thank you for that as well!

I too pre-ordered, and due to my own profession - clearly understand some of the difficulties that we peons don't see that you all have to deal with. Too often you only hear from the childish complainers who are so sequestered in their own little worlds - they're ignorant to all the challenges that need to be met. So cheers for the hard work and happy holidays.
In the mean time my free time is consumed with Skyrim - hah.
PS - A campaign would be nice though
this and your post about pre-orders being upgradable to box or maybe a collectors edition before it retails, are all the info i needed to decide to do a pre order.
If you would display that info more prominently on the home page of your site you will get more pre orders.
So those of us that pre-ordered back in March of 2011, how will we find out about the beta since Stardock doesn't own Impulse anymore?
Also, is the game slated for release in Spring 2012 or the beta or both?

Spring 2012 is the release date for the full and tested expansion. The beta will be accessible before this period. The people that pre-ordered the game will receive an e-mail telling them that the beta is available for download in the new Stardock Store. Impulse (now called the GameStop client) is not related to Sins Rebellion.
Spring 2012 is right around the corner. I'm starting to wonder if it will be more of a Summer 2012 release. (A Fall 2012 release would be just fine with me; they should take as much time as they need to to make it perfect and to polish it to a golden shine.)
Spring right around the corner? Winter just began a week ago. =D They still have just under 6 months to release and still be in Spring.
I'll say. It still hasn't even snowed here in Nebraska. Well once long before Christmas. But it feels like spring now. So... what about the beta? Rebellion can't be more than 2 or 3 months from release.
I would love to see an actual release date for this expansion. I just recently dusted off SoaSE (vanilla) after not playing it for a year. I'm very tempted to buy Diplomacy and Entrenchment, but if Rebellion is coming soon I will just wait.
I hope they don't issue a firm release date. I don't want them to feel pressured to paint themselves into a corner. However, as a practical matter, there are marketing pressures that might make it better to get the game out before the Christmas release rush.
Get beta out soon so we can report bugs like crazy, which will help a release date.
